Question about Digital Cameras

1 Answer

My samsung i70 camera wont allow me to play mp3 files even though i have put them onto the memory card. They show up that i have put them onto the memory card on my laptop, but not when i go to play them from my camera. The user manual offers no great help so hopefully someone could tell me what to do in simplistic terms. Regards, Sean.

Camera pictures are saved on camera and not on card

What type and size memory card are you trying to use? The i70 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

I have a samsung s850 and i dont have cable for camera and have internal memmory where i have some pictures, i need to get the pictures from there onto a memory card but when i put it in camera i dont see...

if the file system of the memory card is not supported by the camera for e.g. most of the memory card needs to be formatted in FAT or FAT32 file system.better get a memory card reader and plug it in to your computer then once its detected by the computer right click the memory card then select properties then it will show what is the file type. try to format the memory card to FAT and check if your camera will detect it if not then format the memory card to FAT 32. but you have to make sure that you back up any files you have on your memory card beofre formatting

hope this help

I have a vtech kidizoom pro camera and have tried many times to put music onto the camera but it just comes up on the camera as muisc files not found even though when the camera is attached to the computer...

I bought one for my 7 year old. install the cd that came with it first before you attach the usb lead. Open My Computer - find where the Vtech is. then open your computer folder where your music is mp3 mp4a which ever you have highlight the song then then "copy file" select your music folder in the directory where the vtech is located . I do not have an sd card in hers yet. Disconnect turn the dial to the music selector on your v tech make sure the volume is up ! I made that mistake first

Good luck hope it helps

Can't veiw pictures from memory card on camera

Some cameras do not allow a computer to camera transfer. It causes the card to have a different initialization not compatible with your camera. If the pictures are safely on your computer, format the card in the camera and it will be fine.

I have a SAMSUNG i70, which is under a year old and worked brilliantly as a camera. But when i put in a new memory stick for MP3 uses, and loaded music, it worked but then crashes when i change a couple...

It says it supports all mp3 versions (including VBR) but maybe you should try the digimax software (included) to convert to thr right version. Apparently there is a limit: 900 file limit, 100 folder limit and filenames are limited to 255 characters. You are not exceeding these limits are you? (would need a big memory card).
The manual http://www.samsungcamera.com/common/manual_down.asp?prj_uid=596&fg_lang=EN&fg_site=COM doesn't have any troubleshooting for mp3's though...
If it still has issues I would recommend downloading a program to check the integrity of the memory card. Maybe it is faulty.

Upload pics to camera from pc

Just use a external memory card put it into your computer and paste it on the card. Then put the card in your camera. Even though you have changed the way the picture looks. It will still go back onto the camera.

Can't upload mp3's onto camera

To transfer MP3 files to Digimax i6:

- Turn off camera
- Plug USB cable to PC and camera
- Turn on camera
- On your COMPUTER screen, it will tell you select USB: Printer or Computer
- Select Computer using the arrow buttons
- Press MENU/OK
- On your COMPUTER screen, a window will pop out like
Removable Disk and it will be telling you a lot of options
- Select "Open to View Files"
- You should be seeing the DCIM folder as you select that option
- Right click on the white space where DCIM is located
- Select "New" and then "Folder"
- Rename the folder as MP3
- Open your documents containing the MP3 files that you want to transfer
to your camera
- Make sure that the format is MP3
- Select the files that you would like to transfer
- Right click on one of those and select copy
- Now, go to the MP3 folder that you've just created
- Open the MP3 folder
- Right click on the white space of the MP3 folder
- Select PASTE
- All MP3 files will be copied to your camera

Note: It depends on the file size of your MP3 if it could still
be accomodated inside your memory card

To safely unplug your camera:
- Look for the green arrow icon on the lower right corner
of your computer
- Right click on that and select "Safely Remove Hardware"
- Just select your memory card in there that is pertaining
to your camera and select stop
- Once, you've seen the message "You could now safely remove the camera",
then you could now turn off your camera and unplug it so as to prevent any problems

On your camera:
- Turn it on
- Press the M button
- Scroll to the right until you see MODE menu tab
- Use the down button to select Still/Movie/PMP
- Press MENU button (all will disappear)

Now,
- Press the M button
- Select Resume
- Make sure to be on MP3 mode
- Select the desired files and those will play

If it still does not work, call the Manufacturer.
