Question about Dell Latitude D630 Laptop Computer PC Notebook
It sounds like the hard drive has been locked with a password. This is the most secure method to protect your data if the computer has been compromised or stolen. It is virtually impossible to unlock a hard drive password because the password itself is written on the hard drive and cannot be removed even if you install the hard drive on another computer. Since you cannot access the hard drive you cannot access the password. You need to get a new hard drive or one that doesn't have a password lock. If it's a Windows account password, you can remove it by getting a software password remover - these can be downloaded from the Internet.
