The tv is shutting down due to overload exerted on it by the components on a particualr voltage line. Possible locations are power supply board or the main audio/video board. The first thing you should check for are faulty capacitors on the two board. Look for capacitors that are swollen or cracked at the top. Even tiny holes at the top mean that the capacitor is faulty and needs to be replaced.

It is possible that there are more of them. Sometimes its best to use a multimeter set to capacitance mode to test them. If its a normal protection fault, the tv does not take this long to shut off. It will turn off instantly in a second or two. So I suggest that you test them with a meter to see if you find anymore faulty ones.

Ok. So what do you wanna do? If you wanna test the other components on the board I have no problem. I can find you a service manual and we shall begin.

I lost the booklet with all the codes for my remote and i need the code to work my tv my tv is a symphonic

I suggest you try these steps..

1.Turn the television set on by pressing the "Power" button on the set.

2. Find the "Code Search" button on the Philips Magnavox remote. This button will be labeled or will be a different color than the other buttons on the remote (depending on which Philips Magnavox remote you own)

3. Hold the "Code Search" button down for about ten straight seconds. The light on the Philips Magnavox remote should then stay on.

4. Starting pressing either the "Up" or "Down" channel button on the Philips Magnavox remote. Continue pressing the same button until the television responds to the remote. It could take a few minutes for the channel to change so you'll need to have patience when searching for the remote code in this manner.

5. Press the power button on the Philips Magnavox remote once the channel has changes. If the device shuts off, press the power button again to turn the TV back on. If the TV turns on, the remote has been programmed correctly. Repeat the entire process if your remote is not programmed.

I hope this helps...

Go to the Philips website and see if they have the problem listed; if they do, they probably can identify the solution. If not, the website should have a link to answer quesions.

Philips/Magnavox TV, model MS3250C321 shuts off randomly.

TV shutting off automatically means its a problem with the Lamp. Contact Pioneer or any local tech shop or Best buy and get the same replaced.
Turning off after specific time : Go to the timer option and disable the Automatically Switch off option. This will resolve the issue. Please let me know if it worked. If you need the user manual or instruction manula please click on the link below
