The homelite xl-130 gas/oil ratio is 32:1 meaning one quart of gas and one oz of 2 cycle engine oil or one gallon of gas and and one 4oz bottle of 2 cycle engine oil.

I cannot locate my owners manual and have not used the Homelite Ranger 16 inch in quite some time --- What is the fuel and oil requirement??

most 2 stroke Homelite chainsaws run on a fuel/oil mix of 50:1 --- But on some older model saws they say to use 40:1 mix.
I own several 2 stroke machines and I use 50:1 on everything and they all run fine ( even when they say 40:1 ).

Oil to gasoline ratio for Homelite XL chainsaw?

50:1 using a modern synthetic saw oil and clean, fresh fuel to mix in it's own container (no more than a gallon at a time unless sawing is your business). Be sure to shake the container thoroughly each time just before adding fuel mix to the tank to prevent oil starvation in the engine. The engine should 4-stroke (at speed) unloaded, but immediately 2-stroke when cutting. Adjust the H jet needle slightly to achieve this operation. This provides the best power and coolest running. Hope this helps!

XL UT # 10655A Serial # HL1490086 XL 2 Serial # 40152376 Recently bought these 2 saws and have gotten 3 answers for the gas/oil mix. Can you tell me what is the right mix??

Run what ever fuel/oil mix you are comfortable with. A run lean condition is most often caused by an undetected air leak leaning out the mixture to failure. A couple of ounces of 2-cycle oil will not prevent its occurrence. If an owners manual (OM - I tried) is ever located it likely says 32:1. Most modern saws recommend 50:1:

Oil Mix Ratio:

In the early to mid 90s Dolmar, Echo, efco, Homelite, Husqvarna, Jonsered, Makita, Oleo-Mac, Red Max, Ryobi, Shindaiwa, Solo, Spear

Gas oil mixture

The header says that it is an electric saw which would only require bar oil. A 2-stroke gas engine, however, does require fuel mixed with a modern saw oil at 40:1 ratio plus bar/chain oil in it's own tank as well. Always premix the fuel and oil in a separate can and shake well even before filling the saw. Hope this helps!

XL-12 and 15 agree with your mixture, no 16 listed.
32:1 = 1 gallon of premium fuel to 4 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil.
