Question about Woods 3C 24 Hour Indoor Mechanical Timer (59366)

1 Answer

I just purchased a Woods tn300 and on the instructions it says to pull the pin out for on and in towards the center for off, the pins only go one direction and that is up. No pictures. Have you heard this and what do you think.

I do not know how to set it. i have lost the instructions for a 111woods model tn300

Woods timers sometimes have more than one number for same timer.
This is true for most brands of timer.
Companies change model numbers and add new model numbers.

Intermatic makes two different analog timers with 111 model number. TN111 and HB111.
Grasslin has older electronic timer Tactic 111
Timex sells TE111 timer.

Open following link to identify TN300 analog timer and read instructions and download possible manual:
If TN300 is not same as your timer, view images on link and then add a comment for possible help with different timer.

How do you pull the pins up to turn timer off?

You posted under Woods 59204, but Woods makes different timers with same number and others timers with multiple numbers
If this is not your timer, add a comment
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Woods-59204.pdf
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#59204

Manual for 59204 says segments are located around edge of dial.
Pull segments out with fingernail or small screwdriver to set on off times.

Here are some photos
There are two 2 basic types: Pins and segments

geno_3245_152.jpgTimer pins flip in and out using fingernail.

geno_3245_153.jpgTimer segments lift up using small tool or fingernail

geno_3245_154.jpgSometimes segments pull outward away from center

To check timer functions after setting pins or segments,
manually rotate dial to and watch lights turn on and off

I can't find the pins that the instructions refer to.

Woods timers:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html

1) You posted question under Woods 59383 which has segments located around edge of dial.
These segments are pulled up to set OFF times.
Segments are left in down position for ON times.

2) Other Woods timers have tiny pins that stick up on the dial.
Pins are located on part of dial that rotates.
Get your glasses.
Run your finger across the dial and you can feel tiny metal pins that stick up.
Dial has 48 pins. Each represents 1/2 hour.
Use fingernail to move pins outward from center of dial.
Pins out = timer ON
Pins inward = timer OFF

Below are 2 EXAMPLES of Woods timer showing pins and segments

Whwere are the pins to set the tomer on the 59204 model? Thanks

Woods 59204 is a plug-in timer rated for 1250Watts incandescent
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html

The pins are 48 'segments' located around outer edge of dial;
Segments pushed toward center of dial = timer OFF for that 1/2 hour
Segments pushed out = timer ON for that 1/2 hour
