This is a double toaster.Model number 18140. Right hand side of product fails to stop/lock down (its electrically operated)

You need to open it up. These toasters have small mechanical locking devices under the cover. you need to see what isn't working.

How do I replace the inner tie rods?

undo the ball joints at the steering arms , loosen off the lock nuts just enough to unscrew the rods
Right hand side right hand thread , left side left hand thread
If you do not move the lock nut back more than 1 thread then you set the lock nut in the same place on the new rod , you will not need a wheel alignment
If you have to take the lock nuts off to fit to the new rods , measure the distance from the end of the rod to the face of the lock nut and position the lock nut at that distance on the new rods

I have a 2002 Freelander 2.5 SE automatic V6. All the interior lights are working apart from the centre console lights. The fuel, temperature, rev counter and speedo are all working. The heated rear screen...

The internal panel lights work off the left hand side of the side lights and are protected by the 10 amp fuse for this side. I had replaced both stop and tail lights with a heavy duty bulbs and because the left hand side powers the panel lights as well, obviously it was too much for the circuit. The right hand side was okay.

The outside middle front & left hand side of the fridge were hot

The reason you feel heat by the middle of the door is because of the "mullion heater' or anti-sweat.
Check the temperature of the freezer, must be below 12*F for the ice maker to work.

Touch screen - left hand side does not work

this sometimes happends if you have knocked the screen a few times.
it also does this when there is water inside it i would recommedn you place it on your heater for 2 hours.
if there is a chip in the screen or the left hand side of the screen is smashed it will not work because the sensors will be damaged

Dryer runs but does not heat

I have just had a similar problem and fixed it today.
The "Empty Water" light was staying on and no heat was given out to dry the load.
I found it to be the float switch in the condenser unit at the back left. It had stuck with fluff and debris. I cleaned out the condenser reservoir and the polystrene float and now all is well.
To get to this unit you must first,
Take of the top and the left hand side panel.
Locate the 2 locking tabs that hold the top half of the condenser onto the back panel and release this part.
Remove this by releasing 2 further tabs that hold it to it's bottom half,
and you will see the float switch assembly on the left hand side.
Clean out the condenser reservoir of any water and aslo clean the polystyrene float, it needs to be free to slide up and down between the plastic guides.
Hope this helps.
