If u don't know the password for the hard drive, u won;t be able to use it !!! U can try to mount that drive to another laptop/computer and than force it to lose the password encryption (u'll need special software and advanced knoledge...). The other option is to send it to the producer (acer) and let them do the job.(expensive !!!)
As for the password that is requested when u press F2, is the BIOS password, and u can get ride of it easily by reseting the BIOS.(u should find info for this in the computers manual)(note: this involves opening the computer case ...)

And ofecourse there is the option where u can try all posible combinations for the password .. it shold take just 2000 years ... lol

I want to format my lenovo 3000 n100 laptop, but in boot screen it is asking for password and I forgot my password. My laptop is also not startin. Please help.

If you are able to open your laptop, take out the little battery for an hour or longer. This clears your bios, perhaps there is a jumper nearby to speed this up. All bios passwords are gone then.
Next you open your bios and make your cd/dvd the first bootdevice.
Insert your windows and follow instructions. When asked where to install windows you delete all drives and then create a new drive to format and install windows on.

How to remove acer laptop bios password

You'll need to open the laptop and reset the CMOS battery.

I'd recommend doing a search for you make and model for additional details. But in brief:

1. Disconnect power adapter and remove the battery.
2. remove the screws around the hard drive compartment (bottom of laptop) and slide off the cover
3. remove the screws holding hard drive in place and slide out the hard drive
4. Disconnect or remove the small power lead that connects the battery to the mother board.
5. Reconnect and place everything back together.

I forgot my Administrator Password, cuz I haven't had to use it for over a yr.It would just let me Login without it,but when I added a User Account---it started asking for it.Acer sent me 3 Disks.A System...

Assuming you have Windows XP or Vista. If there is another user account with administrator privileges you can log in at this account, and go through settings - control panel - user accounts in order to change the administrator's password.
If there isn't another user account with administrator privileges, you have to download the utility (in zip format) from this link. Extract it and burn the included iso at a cd. Boot the pc from the cd and follow the on screen steps in order to reset password.

Black blank screen Lenovo 3000 N100

You say the laptop all of a sudden flashed off.

How old is the laptop? You may have suffered one of two things? First of all, if the hard drive will not boot back up, even after using the recovery discs, then that would explain it powering off. I have seen this happen on old desktop hard drives.

Next, try to get the transformer or adapter tested. It may not be putting out enough amperage to run the laptop.

Lost password to acer laptop

restart pc, when its booting back up, keep pressing F8 to get windows to start in safe mode, select safe mode, then windows will start with no drivers and large desktop icons, and an administartor account will be on the desktop.

Click on the admin account and go to control panel, click users icon, then click change an account, choose your account then click on delete password, restart pc and you will be able to log in

I just wanna know how to replace an acer laptop hard drive with a bigger one

Usually you

1) purchase the new hard drive
2) look around the base of your laptop to find where the HDD is, if you look at the manual which im sure acer will have on its site it will show you
3) usually 1 or 2 screws are unscrewed and you slide out the hard drive, it will be in a special holder
4) unscrew the old hard drive and insert the new one and secure it in place like the old one.
5) insert, re-do screws up, turn on laptop.

this new hard drive wont have any information on it so you will need to reinstall windows on that drive.
