I have a wooden bifold door that will not stay in the top track. I have tried to put it back in the track and it works a few times then just comes out again. What is the best way to fix this? Lynn

The problem with bifold doors occurs when the top rollers are out of alignment or hung improperly. Fully open the doors and then check to make sure the edge is perfectly straight and running right along the center of the frame. Adjust the top rollers to straighten the doors by loosening the screws and resetting. Make sure they are perfectly aligned; any misalignment---even a small one---will cause the door to open awkwardly.

hope this helps.

How do I fix a bi-fold closet door that came off the track

I'm guessing that you are referring to the wheel guide on the floating panel. You may have to remove the door completely in order to re-install it. At the pivot points (upper & lower) next to the jam; the upper one may or may not be spring loaded, the bottom one is threaded usually with a beveled head with teeth on it. You'll need a flat-bar or someone to lift up on the door as you thread the pivot bolt back into the door, allowing enough play to pop it off of the seat plate. The bi-fold will have to be open(the panels flat across). Tilt the bottom of the doors out, this will allow you to re-set both the upper pivot in its bracket and the guide roller on the floating panel in the track at the same time. Re-position the doors in the opening with the lower pivot over its bracket and re-adjust(thread down) the lower pivot until it holds the door up in the track. (Take care as to the position of the lower pivot in its bracket as it also adjusts the clearance for the door to swing/pivot next to the jam!!) {The upper pivot bracket(in the track) can also be adjusted for closeness to the jam}. It is important that these pivot points be plum(straight up& dn) They can cause the bi-fold to tilt; or cause the roller guide on the forward door to either move up, or dip down as it travels out to the open position.

Passenger rear window is off track and will not work

if you can hear the motor working but the window is not coming up then it is probably out of the track.. there should be only a few screws holding the door panel on. remove it and put the window in down position using the switch. Then you can use your hands to work the window up. When you get it in the up position you can see through the door where the tracks are. Just lower the window back down in the tracks. But first put some good adhesive or silicone in the very bottom track that the windows rests in so that the window will stay attached to the bottom track.. once you have done that, raise the winding using the switch and leave the window in the up position until you are sure the adhesive is dry

When I open or close the back door on my saturn vue it makes a clunking sound. How do I open up the inside pannel to take a look

Assuming you have no trouble with the window coming off the track and no kids to drop junk inside the door, is it possible that the clunk is the lock getting sticky? Try putting a little WD 40 on the door catch and close and open the door a few times to see if that makes a difference. If it does, make a lasting fix by adding a few drops of 3 in 1 oil.

How do I change the door seal on a gibson UR freezer?

The most important thing is to make sure the new seal is warmed up to room temperature so it is soft and workable. Since the seal on mine is attached to the top door there is nothing to gain by leaving the door attached. Working upside down would leave the door open longer than just taking it off.

If you still have food in the freezer just put blankets over the top until the door is back on. If you have screws holding the seal it will go much easier. Mine has plastic pins that break easily pulling them out.

Get the edges as straight as possible to avoid leaks.

2003 honda civic driver side window fall down

I am guessing you have power windows. Happens to mine sometimes.
Slam the door a couple to few times, see if that doesn't put the window back on "track". I mentioned this to the dealership a while back and they were going to charge about $90 to pop off the interior part of the door and put it back on track. They said it "builds up dirt".
I actually also toggle the window switch a few times to see if it will move slightly and then do my door slam thing a couple to few times. I seem to get this problem when it rains.
I hope it helps.

My window went down and would not come up. The 3 other windows goes down w/o problems. What may be the problem?

The window rests in a track to guide it up and down. The window will fall of this track causing the window to stay down. You can probly grab the window and pull it up but it will not stay it needs to be put back on track. You can do this by pulling off the door panel and working the window back in place and pushing the track tight agiant the window and adjusting them as need be. If this starts happing alot it will need a new window motor and regulater.

Good luck

Driver's side window stuck open.

unfortuanately the window has come off the track... happens for various reasons... on my windstar the side rail spot weld broke so the rail/track came off... i had to take the bracket out ... drill out the spot weld and put it back together with a rivet ... put the window back and it's been good since.... basically you will need to take the door panel off to see why it came off the track.
