Question about Audiovox XV6700
I bought this
AUDIOVOX XV6700 on ebay because it is supposed to connect to wifi. I dont want to use it as a a phone, so I dont want to sign up for service. Every time I click on Internet Explorer it goes to a web site in memory about bluetooth, which I am not trying to use, and when it senses a wifi signal it says "my connections 1" and asks for a phone number
Tap the "EV" or "1X" icon on the top of the today screen, and then tap settings. Select the Wireless LAN, and then tap the icon in the bottom left corner that looks like a target with parenthesis. That just got you to the communication manager. There you can toggle your "phone" on and off, as well as bluetooth, wireless and sound, among others (depending on what you have installed). when you tap the antenna for wireless, does it turn green, and the little "x" go away? That's what you need to figure out first, after that we can go look at some other things....

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
