Ok. I understood the green light click and then it goes off. But what do you mean by "same as 11 by has a shiny cabinet" Please clarify this so that I can help you resolve your issue.

Ok. The problem you have described seems like a protection fault. Lets try an error code operational check. Unplg the set from the mains and plug it back. Press and hold the device and menu/input buttons for 5 seconds. It will blink x number of times, followed by a short pause and another y number of times. Count the blinks and get me the no of blinks before and after the pause so that I can tell you what the problem is.

    Sai.

Thats weird. Coz 12 means no error. Did you try turning it on. Because when the unit dtects a surge, it goes into protect mode, and will not allow you to turn the set back on until you reset it ie., unplugging and replugging. Give it a shot and let me know

Ok. that means short detected in X-ray protection circuit. This is a High voltage circuit. My first question for you is, do you have the experience of working on high voltage circuits? I am talking about 25000V. May not be a good idea to mess with if you have never worked on electronic circuits of this kind. The voltages in the CRT are residual and I am concerned that you might hurt yourself.

Well it depends on whether you want to go HD by buying a new set. Otherwise spending a couple hundred dollars on this baby is worth it. Television sets just dont last these days. If its LCDs are ok , plasmas are a lot worse and don't even ask me about DLPs!

Blinking Green Timer Light

I suspect the lamp area is VERY dirty as is the cabinet's filters and fans. This causes great stress on your tv and lamp. Take the time to clean all of them fully. Is the unit in a dirty area? or in a high temp area? DLP's dont like high temp or contaminated areas as they are NOT air sealed units.

The DM is fine if the led isnt blinking. Your set is going into protective shutdown. Try pressing the menu and the device/input buttons on the set both in together for 5 seconds to see if the set will blink a series of blinks pause then blink another series of blinks. Such as 2 blinks pause then 2 blinks, Then let me know what the blinks were and I will assist you with whats wrong

Green blinking light on Mitsubishi WS-55813 HDTV

generally this means a bad digital module.. as a techinican the first thing that we would check are what is know as standby voltages. if they were there we would replace digital module.! question. Does it blink for more than 70 seconds. This unit comes with a lockout feature. to unlock press and hold menu down for 10 seconds on front panel.
