Place disk ! into the DVD drive and turn the laptop on. It will boot into recovery mode and just wait for the prompts.
It will restore your laptop to its original state.
Hope that helps.

I need a recovery disk for a Toshiba Satellite L305-S5907 model# PSLB8U04X02F I had to replace the hard drive but i have no recovery disk. Can you please help me find one thats free I have 4 kids need...

  • Toshiba provides, provided the hdd is not damaged, a restore partition that the windows recovery system can use to completely restore the system. That or using the recovery disk creation utility.

  • Paid Solution: Order a recovery disk from Toshiba (charges for delivery of recovery media in the US is $29.95 for DVD media or $39.95 for USB sticks.)-> Repair Parts Support Toshiba

  • Free Solution: Find someone to install for you the OS of your choice, and get all you need, (drivers, apps, etc), from Toshiba's site -> Search

Whatever the solution, once done with full installation, (drivers, apps, etc), use the recovery disk creation utility for future use.

I need to get my toshiba nb200 sp2903r to factory settings and i havent been able to do it

What you intend doing can only be achieved by formatting your PC.
After doing that, you would have to re install the operating system(OS), or another OS, then install the recovery drivers.
Formatting of your system is not what you wake up and perform overnight, because doing this wipes out EVERY information you have on the PC. So before doing this, you would have to backup your files.
Also, since it wipes off all yor installed driver, you either ensure that you have a recovery disk, or you create one.
If you have a recovery disk partition on your system, backup your drivers to it. Other wise, you can use an external disk as your recovery disk.
After doing that, you right click your hard drive, that is the one you are using; the one containing your program files, and click on format.
You can access the backup by typing 'backup' in the start bar, and hitting enter. It would then provide you with the steps to back up.
NB: Make sure you dont back it on to the drive your use, ie the one containing your program files, because the format process would wipe it off.

I hope that helped?
Have a great day.

I have the same problem the toshiba recovery disk i get error message 10f8060017.its a toshiba A105-2194 win xp media edition. i have tried everything wiped the disk to all 0's. Used a win xp original disc...

You have tried all possible solutions and troubleshooting.

My Suggestion is to check the Warranty of the Hard Disk and get it replaced. this possible shows a mismatch between the Laptop and hard drive.

Need to wipe out laptop how do i get the recovery downloads

Is your computer still working? You need to create the restore disks using TOSHIBA, TOSHIBA Recovery Disk Creator.

You may have to contact TOSHIBA if you want to purchase restore disk to put it back to the factory condition.

I used a link on a Face book app and ever since it keeps poping up with "security" warnings. I have saved all my important documents and pictures else where. I want to wipe ,my hard drive or even...

It is good that you want to follow "best practices", namely to "flatten-and-rebuild" any virus-infected computer.

When you start your computer, is there an option to invoke a "recovery" mode of operation?
If so, select that mode, and begin the "system-recovery".

Or, did you get a set of "System Restore" CD/DVD disks from Toshiba, when you bought your computer? If not, is there a program on your computer that will "burn" some CD/DVD-recordable disks, to create a set of "System Restore" disks ?

If you have those disks, insert the first disk into your CD/DVD drive, and restart your computer.
Choose an option to boot from the CD/DVD drive, rather than the "normal" booting from your 'C:' drive.

I had to wipe and recover my toshiba satellite L350d resulting in now being unable to use my webcam. i was thinking that the drivers werent on my recovery disks. i dont know anyhelp would be much...

You should have created an "Applications and Drivers" disk along with with recovery disks. After your computer is started and you are at your desktop, put that disk in your CD or DVD drive and allow it to come up. Then browse to the webcam driver and double click on it and follow the prompts.

If the DVD drive doesn't automatically show the disk go into "my Computer" or "Computer", right click on the DVD drive and select "open" or "explore".

If you didn't make an "Applications and Drivers" disk, from start go into "All Programs" and look under "Toshiba" or "Toshiba Utilities" until you find the "Create Recovery Disk" wizard, then click on that and look for "Applications and Drivers", then follow it out.

I cant fint my system recover drive, i want to reinstall visat on it, its toshibe satellite A135-S4427 please help

Most Toshiba computers do _NOT_ come with a set of "System Recovery" disks.

Instead, there is a program installed on the computer that you use to write your own set of CD/DVD diskettes, using your "blank" disks and your CD/DVD burner. Run the program to create a set of disks.

Or, when you restart your computer, look for displayed text like "press Fnn to start System Recovery". Press the named key.

Toshiba A 45-S150: How to boot from external dvd drive?

Remove the disk-drive from the laptop, and connect it to another computer.
Copy all the files from the recovery-media onto the disk-drive.
Reinstall the disk-drive into your laptop.
Run the recovery software from where you copied the files onto the disk-drive.

I can not make my recovery disc.

Hi there.
I'm sorry to tell you that when you reformatted the drive you deleted the recovery partition and all the recovery information on it, this is why the recovery disk creator cannot be launched and is giving you an error.
Thankfully for you, you created a recovery disk before you wiped the drive so this is your only way of restoring the system so make a back-up copy of the recovery disk you made and keep it safe as the problem cannot be solved because you deleted the recovery partition.

Thanks for using FixYa!!
