Because of the larger hub assembly, the collar will need to be set aside. Be sure to use a dado insert in the table and get a carbide tipped tool if you can afford it. Make shallow cuts or the work piece will grab and be thrown off of the table. Always make a test cut on similar waste to make sure that it has been set correctly. Make or buy a push stick if you don't have one already. It also make copious amounts of waste! Have fun!

I bought a craftsman dado blade set but can't find the instructions and I have no idea how to use it. Is it possible to get instructions

Dado blades are used in a variety of saw applications. Commonly tables saws. The manual for your table saw should identify if the saw is capable of using this blade-set Never used dado blades in a saw that is not intended for them as this can result in severe injury to yourself and or damge to the tool. If your are unsure if your saw can accomodate dado blade please post your make and model of saw and someone will try to help you.

How do you set balance shafts if not marked before removal?

Install mounting bolts, washer and collar plates. Insure upper sprocket collar is mounted so the "0" mark can be seen in the large round opening in the collar and locating tab engages in the unmarked sproket groove.
Insure lower sprocket collar is mounted so the "0" can be seen in the square opening of the collar plate and the locating tab protudes into the '0" marked sprocket groove

Recently I cleaned and lubricated my 4 year old Craftsman cast iron table saw. I did such a good job that I created a problem which I never had. When I am running with a dado blades, the arbor will slowly...

There should be a locking knob on the front of the crank or a locking collar behind the crank depending on which model or age of the saw that you need to tighten down to lock the arbor height.

Need dado throat insert for 113

why not just make your own out of 1/4" plywood

trace out the insert but don't cut a slot

install it on the saw with the blade all the way down

turn on the saw and raise the blade to cut out the insert

I do not know how to install blade and have no manual

Most of the skil jigsaws have a plastic piece with a spring and catch behind it. Just push your blade into the tool and it should lock. When you want to remove it you need to press the plastic lock collar up and it will release the blade. Some of the earlier models weren't as easy to set the blade in and you have to press the lock collar up insert the blade and let the collar down around the blade to lock it.

New dado set understand the shimms and chipper work

The shims are placed between the blades and chippers in a stack. they are used to make very small adjustments to the final dado width... So usually you set up your dado set for a specific width of cut according to your blade chart, then make a test cut... If you need to widen the cut very slightly, add some shims in between the blades as required to get a good fit on whatever material you are joining or putting into the dado etc.

Hope that makes sense!

Dado blade installation

Yes. normally an eight inch stack dado set is used on a 10 inch saw. You will also have to purchase or fabricate a special throat plate (non-metallic) to accomodate the extra thickness of the dado set.
The number of blades used, and therefore the thickness, varies depending upon the task at hand.
Make sure to use the factory supplied nut and washer to capture and tighten the dado set securely on the arbor.
Be very cautious in the use of dados. Do not raise the set higher than 1/4" or so until you are familiar with the use of a dado set. Try to avoid so-called "wobble" dado sets. They are IMHO more prone to dangerous kickbacks and harder to adjust than a stack dado set with dado shims.

Bosh 4000 table saw , using dado blades.

no good solution for that problem. dado blades vibrate and cause the knob to turn. possibly a clamp on the knob to keep it in place.

FPB-5PC How to remove blade

I would suggest wearing heavy gloves and removing all glass shards from your work area. If the shards have completely separated from the belnder collar, then you are done. If not, carefully unscrew the lid from the collar. If it won't budge, submerge the collar and blender jar parts in a very large bowl with vinegar - after 20-30 minutes, try unscrewing again (don't forget those gloves). As expensive as ther eplacement blender jar is, you could just reorder the other parts if this does not resovle the issue.
