You have a couple options but an alchohol based cleaner would be your best choice since it will evaporate. Stay clear of anything with added fragrances though. They might leave a residue. They make a product specifically for washing electronic components called Blue Shower. it iis kind of pricey though; http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/20-2100&t=1 You can usedenatured alchohol. I've used this to clean fans that were not a standard size to get extra use out of video cards and northbirdge fans. You can actually run then submerged in the stuff but it is dangerous. It doesn't conduct eletricity so there's no danger of burning out the fan but it is flammable so I wouldn't recommend it.
You need to replace the keyboard, or as a last resort you can disassemble the keyboard (take it out) and give it a HOT water bath for 5 minuts than an other 2 minuts bath in alcohol (METHYL HYDRATE) shake it... than delicately blow it with air (compressor) than re-connect after 24 hour dry time...
You probably SPILLED beer or some other liquid... hi hi... it happened to me....
Try cleaning the CD with dish soap and water, u may have a dirty disk, be careful (don't scratch it). Try using a different XP install disk from someone you know, just use your product key instead of theirs when it asks for it. Your install disk is failing.
The most common causes of your problem are memory and video. 1st thing is to hit F8 and see if your system has an option to halt on all errors. This should cause you to see the blue screen of death if you don't already. It will give you an error code followed by a file name sometimes. If a driver is causing this it will tell you the driver name. This option only works on some systems. The second thing I would try is running Microsoft's memory diagnostic in the extended mode. It runs like 11 tests. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2008.09.utilityspotlight.aspx?pr=blog
You could also try taking your ram out and running one stick at a time and seeing if the system locks.
Check that the radiator fan is switching on and off regularly when the car is idling stationary and hot.
If not then there could be a fault with the fan or thermoswitch.
Make sure the radiator is not becoming clogged with insects/leaves/small children.
Dont use tap water in the coolant, it can coat the waterways with limescale reducing cooling efficiency. Use de-ionized.
Or suspect the thermostat, they are quite cheap so rather than gettting it out and testing it on the stove in a pan of hot water just replace it with a new one.
Make sure there isn't an airlock in the heater matrix, put the heating on full and make sure it's blowing nice and warm.
Of course it could just be a fault with the temp. gauge or sender, you'd need to remove the sender and place it in some nearly boiling water and look at the gauge.
