Why did yahoo cancel my e-mail address that I have been using for more than ten years and give me a new one? Please switch me back to my former e-mail address. Former:maxwell2242000@yahoo.com New maswelldivinsky@yahoo.com

Hello,

Yahoo has canceled your e-mail because of scam (fraud). Maybe someone is using our e-mail for fraudulent activities unknowingly to you. But whatever the case maybe, Yahoo canceled your account and gave you a new one for your own good. Yahoo is trying to protect you.

Also, you alone is the only one that can give you precise reasons why they canceled your account.

I would suggest you contact yahoo, ask them why they changed your e-mail address and they should be able to give you a precise reason tell you if they can give you back your old e-mail address or not.

To contact yahoo, visit any of the below links, fill in the form and type in your complain, then submit it. You will receive a response from yahoo concerning this issue

How to restore clasic mail ?


here are some options:
1st: If you are using IE go to tools ? internet options ? security. Click on the "custom level" button, go to the scripting section and disable active scripting. If you are using Firefox go to tools ? options ? content. Click on disable Javascript.
When you go to Yahoo mail it will indicate that you must use Classic and will give a link. Once done you can return to the previous Javascript settings.
2nd: to revert to Classic Mail. Lower your screen resolution from the Control Panel, then Display and the Settings tab. As soon as it's too low for the new mail, you will get a message displayed asking if you want to switch to Mail Classic. Click "yes". (The usual setting is 1024 x 768 for most monitors.)
3rd: At the very top of the screen once you log into yahoo it should give you the option to go to classic yahoo mail. I am not fond of the new one either and thats what i did
4th: Click Options on the mail screen, then click Switch to Classic Mail. If it asks if you are sure you want to switch, click Yes

I just want my old e-mail set-up back.I have a lot of e-mails and pictures under needed info on there. I can't retrieve it with this new mail setup. This new mail setup is for the birds!

My Yahoo classic mail has automatically disappeared without my doing anything


it also happened to me for yahoo automatically migrated their mail to the new yahoo email.
here are some options you can use:

I do not have an option for yahoo instant messenger from my yahoo. a few days ago my yahoo was changed and i hate it. i cannot yahoo im my contacts and it is an important part of my job. we IM each other ....

Yahoo releases a yahoomail account for general public if it has been inactive for more than 6 months. You can keep checking on the yahoo site to get back your old user name.
