Question about Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook® N3430 PC Notebook

Boots up normally to desktop, but cannot access any applications, and when I try, everything freezes. Cntrl + Alt + Delete doesn't even work. I hit the on/off button, restart, but the same sequence is repeated. I noticed in the task tray there is a round blue icon with an exclamation point inside. When I hover over it, it says there is a new Xbox 360 device attached, but i haven never installed anything of the sort. Not sure if this has anything to do with the issue.

First, run your computer in safe mode. To run safe mode, turn of your computer, turn it on and constantly press F8 on the key board until a booting option page comes up. Amongst the booting option list, you will see safe mode. Use your keyboard to select safe mode and press enter.

Wait a while for your computer to fully boot in safe mode.

Once its boots to safe mode, perform a system restore on your computer. System restore helps to back date your computer to the time when it was working perfectly.

To restore, go to; Start menu, All Programs, Accessories, System tools, system restore. Follow procedure and your computer will be restarted and that would be all.

This should help put your computer back to order.

My computer boots up but i never get into the login screen and when i press the keys on the keyboard it beeps

when the screen goes blank or gets stuck on the loading screen. simply press cntrl alt delete -----> task manager ----> file -----> new task ------> then type explorer.exe and hit ok. Once you are in, please download the microsoft hotfix for this issue at hope this helps even a bit.

I dropped a file on my keyboard and it rotated the screen. Now everything is sideways!!!!!!


CTRL-ALT-UpArrow will restore normal desktop

CTRL-ALT-LeftArrow or CTRL-ALT-RightArrow will rotate by 90/270

CTRL-ALT-DownArrow will rotate 180

My kids e-machine pc will boot up it just comes on and sounds like the fan is working overtime and the screen is blank

Check the RAM modules and make sure they're sell seated in their slots. If that doesn't work you might try this.
Bring up task manager Ctrl+Alt+Delete and click the applications tab
Click on "New Task"
type in explorer.exe and click okay.
If it boots up run malwarebytes available here
run full scan and delete anything it catches.

When I turn my emachies laptop on it shows the logo then goes to a blank screen I can access setup menu but it won't boot up help it's the64bit version I beleave I've tried everything I know I think the...

Bring up task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete)
click applications tab
click new task
type in explorer.exe then click okay
If it boots up go to and download the free version. Install, update, and run a full scan.
Delete anything it finds.
Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't.

Computer turns on and works fine once turned off the orange button comes one - then if I cntrl alt delete the system boots? what gives?

If you just hit the button, it's probably set to suspend. You should be using the shutdown procedure, or alt-F4.

My computer says disk read error press cntrl alt then nada

In most cases, all recent versions of Windows use Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the Tasm Manager. You can't usually use that key combo to restart your PC.
When you did that, was any application highlighted as 'not responding?' If so, that is where you should start looking for problems.
Otherwise, try to post additional information for us here.

you mean desktop is nor cntrl-alt-del. task manager will appear clk on application. clk on new task. type in c:\ and press will open windows explorer and also shows the desktop icons and taskbar....good luck and do reply me...

Starts but cant get to icons .when i turn on i get sound after my welcome come up then i get my screen picture and my curser andit stays like this forever----------- thank you ps is it a virus

Possibly have you tried to start in safe mode? Are you running Windows 7, Vista, or XP? If you can try to boot into safe mode to see if you can access your desktop from their. Once in Windows try to perform a system restore going back to the point to which you last could start your machine normally.

Do this it will surely resolve your issue :
1. Start > Search > Type" %temp% " > click > Temp(on the top) > Select all(use " Cntrl " + " A ") > Press " Shift " + " Delete " > Click " Yes " to the prompt.
2. Start > Search > Type" prefetch " > click " Prefetch "(on the top) > Select all(use " Cntrl " + " A ") > Press " Shift " + " Delete " > Click " Yes " to the prompt. 3. Start > Search > Type " disk " > Click " Disk Clean up " and just follow the all screen ionstruction.
This all above removes the unwanted, dump files files from the computer... which are not required by your computer. Alos scan for viruese on the computer.... visit or search on google for the same
