You will need to download your drivers from their website. I would recommend downloading the network driver on to a flash drive, load it on the computer to get your network functioning, if it isn't already. From their website you should be able to download any driver you need.

My drive has power but the icon for it does not appear in the My Computer screen

...Power and data cables, you mean(two - both), Are your drive formatted?(New drives unformatted!).
First, restart your comp, after keyboard flashing, press DEL or F2 and start BIOS, All BIOSes are various, search byself in all menues/buttons Onboard IDE and SATA controllers configuration. All of them must be switched on(on diag time) and it's disk types must be AUTO, and large/LBA mode auto too(after change this param drive must be remapped and re-formatted with full lost of data). Also in ADVANCED submenu I recommend switch off quick self-test(POST). F10 to save changes and if all proper, BIOS must identify disk on boot screen. If boot screen splashed too quickly, go back to BIOS and look for disk parameters. If name of drive here is correct, and drive's geometry seems true, all is OK. If Win or other OS don't see this drive in DEVICE MANAGER/disc drives, then seems you obtain a non-standard device that require model-specific driver from manufacturer.
If drive exist in DEVICE MANAGER/disc drives, but OS don't draw it's partitions in My Comp, then it improperly formatted(part of RAID or virtual partition, or for other OS).Then it's need to new partitioning and formatting(All data become lost).

If BIOS don't see drive, something fail - Mboard, cables, or drive himself. There is one way to half-check drive without Mboard and cables. Plug it to power only, take him in hands, move it to your ear and turn on power switch. First you must listen increasing spindle noise, and after 1-10 sec from one to three head turns.( Modern drives has a noise protection, and sounds are quiet). If sounds differ from this, drive is bad. If heads turns more then 3 times, drive is near to death(half-year max), but still works. If heads don't sounds - drive's board is bad. If heads turns continuously - them or plates's surface are bad.Go to repair or drop off.
Described listening procedure is a self-test of drive and gives 90% sureness of it's goodness. Then try replug cables and test another drive instead for Mboard check. Somebody talks that latest drives don't work with old Mboards, but I never saw this.

You dont need disc to configure...To access Belkin's web based setup page type on the address bar of the browser.
By default there is no password set for the router and you just simply click submit button to log on to router setup page
Click on Internet WAN and select the connection type you want.

Sound driver for my intel mboard D946DZAB

1. Visit the Intel site at from there you should be able to download the driver for your soundcard
2. If not your driver may be archived and you will have to contact tech support or customer support to have them send you the installation disk.
3. Another solution is to purchase another soundcard and install it with new drivers for the new soundcard.
Most computers will disable the on board soundcard and direct sound to the new soundcard

I can only guess that you are not sure how to connect you motherboard try this.

From my extensive experience trial and error can sometimes be the best solution here, never had any shorts with this solutution. plug the power supply onto the mboard then with a screw driver touch together two pins at a time on themboard following a the pins on the panel horizontally, when you touch together the right two pins your mboard will power-up then insert the on-off plug on those two pins 99.9% of the time they are plugged facing inwards (the writing on the plug faces towards the major part of the mboard) after that you can insert the led plugs by the same consept of trial and error. You must plug your harddriver to your board to find the hdd led because then it will flicker when found the power led will remain on constantly. with the resert button the 99.9% of the time the pins are directly below, above or adjacent to the power-on pins. when it comes to the usb pins check- . . . . .
. . . .
they are in this order above if the spare pin is on the right. starting from left to right, starting with the top row insert - red - white - green - black. the same works for the bottom row.

Intel emachine t3828

Geeze, after working on hardware for 27 years i love the short circut dummie. Anyway yes, it's the motherboard / yes the green light will still come on on that model and quite a few other models. Dont worry about repairing / i.e. removing components on the motherboard, it's a fruitless endevor but a great way to waste time. A motherboard for that model will cost about 100-150 bucks / easy replacement. It's actually rare for both the power supply and mother board to go out on a tower/mini tower type system. Older laptops had that type of prob. Those emachines were **** for the mostet part. On the other hand Gateway has really gone up in quality and i have been quite impressed with them in the last few years...

Suitable replacement motherboard

Okay, the problem here is that there is no guarantees when hottswaping motherboards. First It helps if the mboard your swap to is of the same manufacturer thus this eliminates some driver identification problems with XP. Second the socket set (as you said PGA370) must be the same. Then VGA setup must be the similar as in, if its onboard on the first mboard it must be onboard for the second mboard. Otherwise you should be fine. Another option that you did not mention is creating a second partition on the harddrive and installing XP with any other motherboard onto that pertition you created. That way you can just simply copy you information across when you are running with your new mboard (this may be your best option) . Let me know how you go. Thanks
