I have a SA-HT730. i get the F61 error code and then turns off. Please help

Check this site. It has details about the error codes to Panasonic HTs. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Pull up previous posts, either by type in the Brand name to your set in its search box, or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide / Flipcard option. Select view option by the drop-down view box, at the top left or the display window.

When turning on my Panasonic SA-HT940 the code f61 dispalyes and the unit turns off.

This is most likely a power supply problem.
F61 for model SAHT75 = Power amplifier output error or power supply circuit error.
Supply voltage for IC501 (Power Amplifier).
Approx. +60.0V dc at pins 3 & 20.
Approx. -60.0V dc at pins 4 & 21.
A qualified engineer may check the above voltages.

Another possible solution might be to hold down the power button until the unit restarts itself a few times, and/or before-hand unplugging the unit from the outlet.

Please be careful when working on any electronic device and let me know if you have any further questions.

My Surround sound DVD player SC-PT450 is displaying the fault code 'F61'. I have a basic electronic knowledge. It says in the manual to check the speaker wiring, but I have removed all speakers and the...

Hi,

Panasonic error code F61 is for an output /power problem. Most likely it will need the output IC replaced. But check that the fan(s) are running a bad or stopped fan will also cause F61.

So the fan needs to be replaced. My system had the same problem and the fan was making a terrible noise. I had this repaired and the system is as good as new.It is better that you take it to the technician for the repair.Still then i am giving you little help.Remove the cover and use an air duster on the fan. This may not be enough so if you must, remove the fan (two screws + 2 clips) and pop it out of its housing. Dust the blades off and gently pull the fan away from its center as if you were trying to separate the two. There should be about a 2 or 3 mm gap there now. Dust that out and I even sprayed some lube (WD40) in for good measure. Put it all back together and make sure the fan spins and is quiet when you power up your system.

Or else that is if your fan is working fine then your iC needs to be replaced and it is best left to a technician and Panasonic is the only supplier that I know has the part.

If you have a repair shop repair the problem, the cost could be $150.00 or more to repair.It would surely solve your problem.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

F61 error message

F61 IS THE ERROR CODE FOR A FAULT IN THE AMPLIFIER STAGE OF THE UNIT, if the power fan or supply is okay then THE MOST LIKELY CULPRIT IS THE AUDIO OUTPUT IC, WHICH IS A MULTI LEGGED DEVICE SCREWED TO A PIECE OF METAL USED TO COOL IT, IN PANASONICS ITS PREFIX WILL PROBABLY BE "RSN" BUT IT COULD BE "STK", MAKE A NOTE OF THE NUMBER AND SEARCH ON LINE, DONT FORGET TO CLEAN OFF THE OLD HEATSINK COMPOUND ON THE HEATSINK AND REPLACE WITH FRESH.f61 means theres is a fault with audio output ic, usually there is dc on one of the speaker output rails, replacing the audio output ic will usually cure this but check speakers and leads for shorts before reconnecting to the unit

My panasonic turns on but shows the letter f61 what does that mean?

F61 just means 'power fault'
Generally a fault with either audio power amp ic (IC 501) or power supply ic (IC 502).

May also be the fan if it has one make sure it is clean and can spin freely.
Hope this helps. Thanks

Panasonic home cinema model sa-ht75 . shows f61 disconnet output ic ,still shows f61

Hi,

F61 error codes could either be IC501 or the regulator (IC502) in the power supply section.

For reference, pls view these two (2) posts here and here of similar concern on other models.

Other possibilities are:
1. fan not turning;
2. cold solder;
3. looses connections;
4. one of the other components/systems hooked up to the power supply is causing a fault (tuner, disc player).

Hope this be of additional help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
