Question about Frigidaire FRS266ZDSB Side by Side Refrigerator

Part and Installation

I did a search and I think the part is called a Control-Temperature part#240383703. Is this correct? Also to replace this do you just remove the panel where the dial is also where the water filter system is on top?
Hopefully it is not to complicated.

Yes it's a thermostat. inside the refrigerator theres where you should see the dial. carefully pull out the dial and there should be a cover with about two phillips screws take them out. (for this part please disconnect the fridge from your power supply) when you lower the top you will see the control and the copper coil (be careful because if you break the copper coil on the control it will not work at all!!) just disconnect the wires from the old control there's 2 or 3 (if there's a green one. the old control is like snapped in a compartment you mange to get it out with some patience. connect the wires to the new control and put the sensing bulb from the new control in it's place . it's not that complicated just e-mail me @ for any questions

Kitchen Aid side by side ksra2scnss00 ice maker not working....Water dispenser is working fine

The simple solution for your refrigerator is to replace dual water control valve. For example if your model was the IKSCS25INSS the replacement part would be the=> W10247725 Water Inlet Valve It also could be your ice maker itself so if the ice slots ar empty fill with tap water and allow to freeze. If the ice freezes and drops into the ice bucket and then does not refill with water then replace the water control valve. If not then it nis possible the ice maker is defective and will need replaced. Not knowing the correct model number I think it wouls better that you call Repair Clinic at 1-800-269-2609 and they will be happy to help you find the correct ice maker. 2198597 Ice Maker Assembly Should you have any questions I will be here to assist you, Thank You, Sea Breeze
believe you have your model number wrong so I will give you this link=> product literature search

My amana 26 side by side refrigerator/freezer keeps running and everything is freezing. i have tried to turn it down with no help

1x1.gif How To Replace the Temperature Control Remove the temperature control dial or housing. Pull the dial straight away from the wall. Remove the temperature control. If there is a housing over the control, it either snaps into place or is held in place with screws. Remove the screws, or gently depress the retaining clips with a small screwdriver. Allow the housing to hang by its wiring.
Before replacing the control, unplug the refrigerator to avoid an electrical shock hazard.
The control is connected by two wires. Label the wire placement on the control before disconnecting the wires. The wires are connected to the switch with slip-on connectors. Firmly pull the connector (do not pull on the wire) off of the control's terminal. You may need to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the connectors. Inspect the connectors for corrosion. If the connectors are corroded they should be replaced.
The temperature control also has a temperature probe permanently attached. Follow the path of the probe and remove any fasteners that hold it in place.
Carefully replace the temperature probe along the same path as it was originally installed. Avoid any unnecessary bending, and do not bend it into a sharp angle as this can damage the probe. Connect the wires to the new temperature control. Replace the switch and housing (if any) and press the knob onto the the control's hub. Adjust the control to a midway setting. Plug in the refrigerator. After one to two hours check the temperature.

Refrigerator freezes food regardless of dial setting. Control board?

Thank you. The part number you need is 240383703 at $146.18 thru Sears and is the control for the refrigerator not the freezer. The refrigerator control operates the opening and closing of the damper door which lets air pass from the freezer to the fresh food. The control is keeping the door open longer than it should. Hope this helps. Worth the repair and has been one of the most common problems with this model.

the problem is the placement of the thermo sensors. They are in the wrong location. If I can be honest I would exchange the fridge as i heard more of these horor stories.

Jackie, the only other thing that could be wrong is the thermistor sending the wrong info to the board. Why don't you have the technician come back out and ohm out the thermistor values, they could be off. I have seen some models where the thermistor is pushed too far into the insulation giving a false reading. back
