Question about ASUS EAX1600XT SILENT/TVD RADEON® X1600XT, (256 MB) PCI Express Graphic Card

P5V VM-DH + EAX1600XT SILENT (256) = problem.. nahh

Can you help me sir?

i use asus motherboard P5V VM-DH with OS Vista,the problem come when install my vga (asus eax1600xt silent-256). it's failed to booting and restarting it self. then the blue screen appear, said my vga is the problem, even i use OS XP SP2, same happenned. i tried to update my bios, same happenned again.
i had the lastest driver for my vga,but how install it?always fail to booting.in safe mode failed too.

Did you turn your current graphics card down to 256 colors(more then likely your old video card is built into the motherboard). You have to do that before you install the card or that may be causing your error.

Not sure exact driver(s) you need, but I would try http://www.nodevice.com/driver/company/ASUS.html (sorry, my hyperlink icon is not working). Here, you should be able to scan you computer to find what drivers you need & download them.

Access the ASUS web-site.
Select MOTHERBOARD.
Select ASUS-P5E-VM.
Select DRIVERS.
Select NIC or LAN.
Download via a computer that *does* have Internet access.
Copy the downloaded-file to a USB memory-stick.
Move the USB memory-stick to your computer.
Install from the USB memory-stick.

Go to ASUS downloadsite, the link above, in the box up to the left where it says "Input model To Search" put in P5VD2-MX, you will now recive 2 MoBos, chose the one you have, press enter, you will now be asked to chose OP, chose XP, all the drivers will now apear for you. Chose them you want, download them and instal them. I recomend you to instal them all since i belive that some of the drivers on your pc is old, thats why you getting that error message.

disable the driver for your video card then see if you can get it into 256 color.

Bios Updater Dont work


well dint get ya point but i found dis bios updater for u http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/BIOS/Asus/ASUS-P5V-VM-DH-BIOS-0909.shtml check it out it myt b helpful to n another thing is that r u using 3 of ur pc's @ one time when u using internet
if yes then ur ip myt b conflicting 1st of all bring some technician to ur home so that he can fix ur wireless stuff it myt be the problem i guess its not configured correctly so do it!
