Question about Vacuums

Open Question

I have their Margarita OASIS model MOS-400 series. I got it for Christmas two years ago and now the blade in the ice tray is dull and even small bits of ice will not get shaved. Is there a way to replace the part or to sharpen the blade.

The ice tray is freezing up . what can be done to fix this problem. I have a magic chef ice maker MCIM30SST

This answer came straight from the manufacture:

Stop the ice maker, and restart when the ice blocks melt. Select the
small ice size. Also Change the water in the reservoir.
Use water between 45 -90 F.

Not sure if that will do it but that is the only fix we could find straight from the manufacture. We wish you the best.

They have Simplicity replacement parts. There are a number of different wheels / wheels with trays / and more. If you contact them with your make and model, they will get you the proper wheels.

The tray full light stays on even though the tray is empty.this prevent the foodsaver from operating.I have tried unplugging, recleaning the tray but nothing works

I had the save problem with my 3400 series.
The first time i was able to let it dry and it worked alright (48 hours).
The second time even this did not work.
If you remove the screws on the bottom of the unit. There are about 10 and pull it down, you will see the sealer assembly and a small circuit board in the middle.
Trace the wires from the drip tray, there are three of them, red white and brown, to the small white plastic JST connector on the small circuit board. Pull said connector gently to disconnect it.
The unit will function perfectly now, although it will no longer have a drip tray sensor of any sort it will function every time all the time.
All in all this took me about 10 minutes.
Thanks!

Poor suction

This vaccuum has a Fan Blade inside connected to the motor that spins to create the suction you feel. After a few years of use (and misuse) the blades on this (plastic) fan will be broken off, thus damaging the unit. These Fans are replaceable if you can find where you can purchase a new one. Now, if you have any knowledge of repairs at all, it's not that hard to replace to fix. If you don't feel capable of this though, I suggest you refer to someone more qualified to do this repair.

Roomba 500

Roomba 500 Series have a serious problem with hair and other fibers working their way into the drive gears. The resulting resistance in the drivetrain is interpreted by the machine as overloaded brushes. People who experience this problem should complain to iRobot technical support. If the machine was purchase less than a year ago, they should ship a replacement assembly to you at no charge.

1957 Sunbeam Twin-Blade electric lawn mower shaft...
Posted by mower man on Jun 08, 2008
I have a late 50's series Sunbeam twin-blade electric lawn mower that I use regularly. The shaft bushing(s) on the left blade has worn out, and there's too much play for me to run it w/o ruining the machine.
It appears that the belt-run cog inside the housing is the part that is supposed to come off of the shaft to get to the bushings, but instead of a cotter pin or other fastener holding the cog in place, it looks like a rolled metal pin that may have been pressed in place.
How do I replace the shaft bushings so I can keep using this great vintage appliance!? I found a website that supplies parts for this model year, but no schematics or user manuals. Thanks!

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. This website is for vacuums and you would need to contact a local lawn mower shop in the yellow pages, they are amazing about the way they can fix old lawnmowers.

So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
Thanks, Don the Vac Man

They just stopped working!

Hoover has a 1 year warranty on their vacuums, so the newer one will be under warranty. The other won't be. It could be bad switches, even tho they sound ok, they could still be bad, One side of the cord could be open, there is also a thermostat on the motors, it may have opened up, then of course could even be the motor. Just would have to be check over.

Your shampooer is not broken. (sorry Fanny)

You are missing a wee screen that fits on the hole where the little hose plugs into the tank. Check inside the hose end or down inside your shampooer box. Here's a link to my online Kirby shampooer instructions...
