Need to know compatible video card for M863G V5.1A AGP1 slotted motherboard.

Hi,

Thanks for asking FixYa for help. My name is Jeff and I will be assisting you today. You didn't specify your operating system or how much system ram you have. I will assume that you have a 32 bit OS (XP or Vista) and the maximum supported system ram of 2 GB. Here are some AGP cards:

http://www.outletpc.com/video-cards-agp-video-cards.html

And here are some PCI cards:

http://www.outletpc.com/video-cards-pci-video-cards.html

I would tend to go with an AGP card in your case because the board seems to favor that approach. You can go all the way up to 256 MB if you like. Depends on what you want.

Several years ago I used to game with 2 GB of system ram and a 512 GB video card. It was a PCI Express however.

If you are in need of additional help, please let us know.

Thank you for allowing us to help you today.

Pc Chips M863G V1.5, install a HDD

From the manufacturer's web-site:

http://download.ecsusa.com/dlfilepcc/manual/m863/863AG-G_15D.pdf

I downloaded the manual for the V1.5 motherboard, and there was no direct, no indirect, answer to your question.

So, you'll have to "experiment".

Motherboard CD

Hi fgetulio, PC Chips only list manual & bios file for MB M863G V5.1)
(No listing for M863G V5.1C).
You should be able to download the drivers for (M863G (V5.1A) at this link;
http://www.pcchips.com.tw/PCCWebSite/Downloads/ProductsDetail_Download.aspx?detailid=343&DetailName=Driver&DetailDesc=M863G(V5.1A)&CategoryID=1&MenuID=39&LanID=2
Create a folder & name each folder. Download the drivers listed on PC Chips web site. Uncompress each file. Than burn to CD. Each driver is separate from the other. Can not create a manufactures CD, where all drivers are installed automatically. You'll have to install the old fashioned way. one at a time.

Good luck fgetulio!

Amd socket a 462 manual

The M863G is common with PC-Chips. Look at this link;

A match for M863G (M863G15CV22ARV000) is a Mercury Mainboard PVCLE266M. Getting any drivers for this is real tough. http://www.mercury-pc.com/product-detail.php?link=p-mainboards&subtitle=Mainboard&productid=439 Some drivers will download & other will not.

Check the above links & see if any match you're motherboard.
A visual check. If you see the correct board use the link to download the needed driver/manual.

Good luck!
