Question about Televison & Video
You Download the new firmware on the pc - download as in Save, not Run. Once the download is complete you disconnect the pc from the internet to minimize the possibility of corruption, plug in a USB memory stick, format it to FAT then move the downloaded firmware file to it. Make sure to Safely disconnect the USB memory stick before unplugging it from the pc.
Now plug the stick in the USB socket of your tv and start the update procedure: the exact procedure is explained in detail in the user manual - you must follow it to the letter or the tv will be rendered completely dead.

Hey guys, I really appreciate the help. Now I have to learn and figure out what compressing the data means. They want 28.00 for a download program to do this. I wonder if the factory could just send me a preprogrammed usb stick. I'm not too savvy with computers. I will be asking for your help again..Mike
