I think the capacitor near by the USB port is burned out so there is no power storage or power supply for the USB ports so just have a check with the capacitors near by the USB ports if you are good at recognizing that problem ..
otherwise just contact the motherboard technician ....
he will have a check and if the capacitor is burned out he will replace it ....

any doubts reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you
bye

Hello the drivers site is here:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?cat=Download&Model=G41M-VS3

The manual:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?cat=Manual&Model=G41M-VS3

I think you should drop the onboard graphic and install a better graphic card in the 1 x PCI Express x16 slot on the mainboard.

Check the power supply for any fault. Is it new ???
You can not use the old Power supply because it might have a 20 pin connector this asrock has a 24 pin connector.
Check also you not have used the extenal graphic power connector in the 4 pin 12 + volt on the mainboard.
Check also all your power connections.

Reply me again if you can`t find the fault.

Good luck

ECS board p4m800pro v2 problems

My best bet would be the onboard grahics controller is burned up, I use extenal PCI Video card and if it shows up normal, it disables the onboard controller that will let you know if its the actual motherboard itself or the Grapics controller.

Onboard usb

VIA needs to stop making USB chipsets... lol... Are you sure you have USB legacy support enabled? Moreover, the default Windows XP drivers are not error free when used with a VIA Rev 5 USB Host Controller because it's actually a VIA Enhanced Host Controller. Every time I have USB problems with the VIA Enhanced Host Controller I go to there website, download the driver, and it usually fixes the problem.

USB 2.0 (VT6202, VT6212, VT6214/L)

Moreover, I have plugged in a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse and Windows XP could not detect it until I installed Microsoft Intellipoint; if you can believe that. Try also installing the mouse drivers as well...

Hi...
are u use win98 OS? if yes, u need to update the driver or use the usb driver included on the device you plug in(printer, camera, webcam or flashdisk)
Otherwise, you can upgrade you OS to WinME or Win XP.

Pluging in extra usb ports/Mic and headphone jacks from the tower

Answer me this. You're case is an Antec tower? The motherboard is the Asus P4P800 SE ? Is this correct?
If you have you're manual you can see what goes where on the board for front panel connector page. 2-31. (This diagram shows you how to connect the front mic & speaker).
To connect the Antec's front USB ports plug the case USB front connectors onto USB56 & USB78 shown on page. 2-30. Most case wires are already set within their USB connectors & the Antec's front USB connector should fit right on the mother board's pin's. If you need you're user manual, download from Asus by clicking on this link. http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P4P800%20SE&SLanguage=en-us

Good Luck!
