Usually, it is lack of lubrication in the fuel mix, but the piston/ring(s) and cylinder wall should have been ruined long before the crankshaft bearings had failed. About the only other possibility would be an incorrectly manufactured crankshaft which is fairly unlikely. Hope this helps!

Boiling radiator coolant

This can be caused by the breakdown of the newer long life coolants, the early formulations broke down and do this exactly as you described, have the tank cleaned and flush the system and refill with the newer coolant that doesn't break down and turn to goo.

Brown goo coming from exhaust pipe on a ford

I would think that the brown goo is most likely to be caused byworn piston rings or valve seals which are allowing unburnt oil to be expelled into the exhaust system. The other thought is that it may be a coolant leak such as a head gasket problem which is allowing steam or water into the engine and then exhaust.
