I understand that you purchased a Waffle Iron at a church thrift shop you did not receive
the directions or any type of recipes for the unit.
Most waffle irons are set up to cook a waffle in one minute. They take a few minutes to heat up like about 5 and then you may cook with them. You generally use a nonstick spray (pan, etc) then put your batter on the lower griddle and close the upper griddle. The batter will expand
to the upper griddle
and make the shape of your waffle iron.
