Question about Konica Minolta magicolor 2300DL Laser Printer

1 Answer

Fatal Error Code: 15H

Very often the paper gets stuck in the middle of printing a page, the print does not completely finish and I have to pull out the page. Opening and shutting thte lid on the side seems to help.

I bought this printer second-hand and don't have a manual for it.

Help please!!

The paper got stuck but we managed to pull it out and it had printed. Since then Fatal Error Code 15H has been displayed. Opening and closing the doors and turning the printer off and on doesnt seem to work. We have also had problems since changing the toner and the drum - the printer doesnt seem to acknowledge the new drum.

In pc drum, there is a little fuse, buy a new fuse and replace it, shold work.
about error 15H it may be something with 2'nd transfer roller, so you can open side door and check / reinstall the only black roller, what there is. but I'm not sure about this error code yet, so i have to check it out

Paper continually jams

What is the error code from page 69 and 70 of the E-232 manual?
Here is the webpage to download anything that you may be missing. The manual has a very complete section on complete clearing of jams.

Not printing

You probably have paper debris stuck to the underside of the print head.

While you are printing, pull the lead from the back of the printer leaving the head free floating and unlocked so you can slide it back & fore. Get a piece of kitchen roll and fold it until it's the size of the track beneath the print head slide the head to the left, place the folded kitchen roll flat down in the print track, slide the head over the folded kitchen roll until it appears on both sides of the head. Grab both ends of the roll and lift it toward the head. Slide the roll sideways left and right to physically clean the bottom of the print head. Try not to tear it as it will trap under the head. let go of one end and slide the head away until you can pull the roll out. It should have a lot of ink and gunk on it. Plug the printer in and the head will reset itself.

Now because printing has been non existant, you'll need to "Prime" the heads. Use the maintenance software and click head cleaning, when finished do not allow the nozzle check pattern to print. Carry out 3 more head cleans cancelling the nozzle check after each one by clicking [Finish] until 4 cleans have been completed. Then allow the nozzle check pattern to print and it should be back to normal. If not perfect, carry out another "Prime" as above.

Hope this helped.

Blank pages

You might want to start by doing some general print quality troubleshooting, including printing a test page. The test page should give you an indication if you have issues with print cartridges. Also, some printers may not print at all if even one of their cartridges is empty:

Correcting Print Quality Problems

The other thing that occurred to me is that your document feeder could be pulling in more than one sheet of paper at a time, this means it would output blank sheets as well. Here's a web page that describes the problem and what to do about it:

Automatic Document Feeder Error

Hopefully the answer to your problem is available in those web pages. Good luck.

well..this is not a happy circumstance. I must report that when the paper is pulled through from the front, it can damage some innards, which I suspect is the case here.

sounds like it's a candidate for a factory service gig.

Lexmark x1240 printer will not print.

Keep your paper feed under 15 pages. The paper will tend to pull to the right, but it will print correctly on the printed page. 20 to 25 pages in the feeder will result in a paper jam. To find the status on the print job, go to your control conter and hit printers. Choose your spicific printer and you may beable to save the printjob.
