Hi .
For what purpose do you need to strip down the washer for?

the machine will not come on, no red light, nothing. I have traced the incoming lead and there is power entering the machine as far as the 'on/off' ' switch. What next?

    Hi.
It is more than likely a faulty door lock that is the problem.
Re move the door seal from the front of washer, undo 2 screws securing the door lock , pull the lock out towards you.
Then get a piece of wire and short circuit the connections marked L and C .
If the lock is faulty, the washer should now work, if it does not, then it is likely to be a faulty timer/board, but hopefully it will work with 2 wires shorted.
    Good luck.

The start button fell or broke behind the panell

top lid needs to be slid back first to access console, this is achieved by removing 3 Torx Screws size T20 from rear of lid. Next: slide dispenser drawer out and press down on tab in rear of drawer and remove complete dispenser drawer out.
you can now see another Torx Screw that needs to be removed. once this is done, the console will snap out of place, just grab it buy the center and corner and tug on it carefully, you will hear clip unsnap and entire console will be accessible

Washer leaks from the front - not a major leak but noticeable none the less. Have checked hoses but no problem there. Can you help?

1. Remove the lid of the washing machine by removing 2 screws from behind.(Power and water off etc.) You will probably see rust on the steel above the drawer unit.
2. Remove the drawer.
3. Label all hoses leading to the drawer unit (for re-assembly) and remove the hoses.
4. Remove the drawer unit - a bit fiddly. (2 screws at front of washer at either side of drawer unit need to be removed.)
5. Remove the lid from the drawer unit. Thoroughly wash out the drawer unit. Also wash out the drawer. (I forgot whether the lid can be removed before removing the whole unit from the machine.)
6. There is a thin hose leading from the drawer unit to the drain in the back of the washer - make sure this hose is not blocked. Remove hose and run water through it.
7. Re-assemble everything into the washer.
8. This is the controversial bit: (The drawer unit should be fully installed but the drawer is still removed)
- Silicone seal the gap between the drawer unit and the plastic at the front of the washer, (Seal all round, but especially at the top. It should be possible to do this neatly, Try to get silicone fully into the gap, not just between the two pieces of plastic. (I flexed down the plastic at the top of the drawer unit to get silicone into the gap.
9. Replace the drawer and wait a day before using the machine.

How do I replace the control panel? Where is the

You need to remove the top panel before you can remove and replace the control panel. Remove the screws holding the top panel to the back of the machine and slide the panel backward.

Disconnect the user interface wiring harness from the Central Control Unit (CCU). Pull the dispenser drawer out and press down the release tab at the back of the drawer to completely pull it out.

Remove the screw that was covered by the dispenser drawer in the recessed hole next to the drawer opening.

Open the door and insert a flat-bladed screwdriver into the notch at the bottom center of the control panel to release it.

Press and release the tab behind the right hand side of the control panel securing it to the cabinet.

Gently pry up and release the top of the control panel and pull it off the cabinet.

Install the new control panel in reverse of the steps above.

How do I replace the door seal to a Bosch Front loader washer Maxx Classic WAE18060AU?

To change the seal the easiest way is to take the front of the appliance off. Remove the kick plate at bottom and you will see some screws holding the front panel on remove these Then open door and remove the screws holding the door lock on and unlip the seal by releasing the clamp on the front. The front should now lift off, if it doesnt then pull out the soap drawer and behind that at the bottom of the drawer is a screw holding the front on remove this then push the front panel down then it will lift off You can now take the clamp holding the seal to the tub off. Fit the new seal, fit the clamp to the seal and tub. From here, rebuilding is the reverse of the strip down.

What is the easiest way to get the front panel off of my LG front load washer to replace the large rubber drum gasket which ripped? Is it screwed on or pressure fit?

It can be changed out without removing the front panel. There are special tools designed to remove and re-install the spring clamps which hold the gasket on, but you can do it with long nose pliers or other implements. It is more difficult to do with the panel on, but it can be done. If you want to remove the front panel: Remove bottom screws from plastic parts on the back edge of the washer top. Stand in front of machine and use the palms of your hands to sparply push back the washer's top about 2 inches, then lift it off. Remove screws from support frame to control panel. Remove dispenser drawer by opening it and pushing the tab on the top back side down while pulling the dispenser the remaining way out. Remove screws from behind dispenser drawer. Release tabs along the top edge of the control panel (watch out for sharp edges) and swing the control panel up on top of the washer drum. Remove spring clamp from front of rubber door gasket. Open access door panel on lower left of front panel. Use small hose to drain out remaining water. Remove phillips head screw in recess, then use plastic putty knife to push inward on the left or right edge of rectangular housing around the recess to remove recess. Remove screws at bottom from bottom of front panel into frame (located behind plastic recess) Remove screws along top edge of front panel. Tilt front panel forward and unplug door switch. Set front panel to the side.

Leaking at bottom

Hi
please follow the easy steps...
1.Unplug the machine.
2.Drain whatever water you can from the machine using the stoppered hose behind the bottom left panel
3.Unscrew the visible screw holding the plastic in place near the drain hose and filter
4.If you can pull the plastic recessed piece out, there is one screw visible behind it - unswcrew this. If you cannot pull it out now, you should be able to get it after you remove the screws in step 10
5.Pull out the detergent drawer (push in the middle back "botton" to release the drawer to pull out fully)
6.Unscrew two screws in the drawer area.
7.Pull the top of the electronics assembly away from the machine and lift the assembly out (place on top of the machine or hook it out of the way)
8.Open the door and remove the spring loaded wire around the door seal (be careful as the seal can be torn)
9.Pull the seal away from the metal front panel, then close the door
10.Remove four screws at the top of the front panel (that were behind the eletronics assembly) - If you already have removed the screw from step 4, proceed, otherwise lean the top of front panel out and pop the plastic out, hold panel in place and remove that bottom screw from step 4.
11.Lift front panel about two inches, swing the entire front panel to the right and set against something - You should now be able to see inside the machine.
12.There is a black hose right in the middle - when I squeezed mine a little, I could see where the water was dripping out from the bottom.
13.There are three clamps - two that can be squeezed with pliers and removed, one that has to be unscrewed (phillips head screw - it is a bit blind as the screw faces the back of the machine) - Once I got mine off - I could see the hole.
14.Order replacement and reassmble in the opposite order

How do I take off the front panel

At the very bad of the machine take out the phillips head screws which pass through an L shaped part (which is attached to the top) into the back of the washer. (the L part should stay with the top) Slide the top back about two inches and lift off. Remove dispenser drawer by pushing down on the center tab at the back of the dispenser drawer, then remove one screw behind dispenser drawer front and one screw at each upper corner of control from back side of control. Panel is still held by tabs across top. Be careful, as there are sharp areas here. Detach all electrical plugs from control, and it should be loose in your hands now.

Jammed soap drawer

hiya
yes the screws are behind the soap drawer, will the drawer not open at all? if not then the only way would be to force it open and the chances are it will break and need replacing. if it opens about 2/3's of the way try pressing the thin blue locking tab in the middle of the two channels and pulling.

hope this helps

please dont forget to rate the helpfulness of this reply thanks kj
