Question about Dell E173FP 17" LCD Monitor
This is usually not a monitor problem.
You have to start trouble shooting with elimination. First try to connect the monitor to another computer with the correct cables then if that works, you know your problem is on the computer end.
If not, you probably have the wrong cable.
There is also another option and that is that the screen resolution from the graphics card is not compatible with the resolution of the monitor.
This can be changed in the display settings in the control panel of your computer.
