heres a suggestion go back to xp service pack 2. service pack is very easy to use and more compatibility than sp3. right now my 10 pc's are all xp sp2 and they have no problems about the sound.hope that helps

Hi,
I have an Fujitsu Siemens Amilo D7830. I was updating chipsets to the laptop when it bluescreened. I had to reformat the HDD and reinstalled Windows Xp Pro SP2. Since then I have installed every conceivable Windows Update file there is and have updated all other drivers and chipsets. However, my soundcard is no longer working.
When clicking on the device in question in the device management screen, the following error messages are displayed for the Realtek AC'97 soundcard: This device cannot start. (Code 10), PCI bus 0, device 31, function 5.
I have attempted at downloading and installing almost every drive I can find for this device, and have followed the standard Microsoft help routines. i.e. uninstalling the device and reinstalling the device still with no luck.
I hope you will be able to assist, as my last resort will be to take it into the a techie shop i.e. PC World for them to have a look at it.

then go to Tools, Internet Option,security, select a zone to view or change a security setting, make it default level all... internet. local internet and others.. then ok..
