Hi! One thing can cause this... The data cable of the dvd may be loosen or faulty that's why it's not reading the discs. You will need to secure the data cable of the dvd as a first course of action and check if it will read. If the data cable is tight fit then the cable may be faulty which you will need to replace. If still no luck please try to reinstall the motherboard driver for this can help too. Hopefully, the options given work for you. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!
