  • grayson98333 Nov 10, 2010

Ok my zip is 29651. What is the estimated cost to have this done? I was hoping that it would be something that i could go out and buy and take care of it myself.

  • grayson98333 Nov 10, 2010

I understand. I just talked to a local technician and he said based on what i told him, it sounds like the hypeboard has gone bad, and its expensive to repair?

  • grayson98333 Nov 10, 2010

yes, thats what he told me the cost would be. so i gave you my zip code, can you connect me with someone who can do a component level repair? Please Help

All the characteristics you have mentioned point to only one problem. You have a faulty deflection circuit. Faulty HOT(horizontal output transistor) and possible faulty capacitors. Replacing these will resolve the issue, but this is a high-voltage circuit . Also this repair requires good electronics and soldering skills. If you do not have prior experience working on electronic circuits, it might be best to seek the assistance of qualified tv tech in getting this fixed. These circuits hold potentially lethal voltages for several days after the set is turned off and unplugged. If you want to do it yourself, then let me know. Otherwise just get me your zipcode and I will get you a list of techs in your area.

No sorry. It was something simple I would have guided you myself. I am really concerned about users getting electrocuted due to the advice given by me.So I just inform them what they are getting into. Anyways here is the list of techs in your area.

Do you mean high-voltage board? Ask him what exactly, he means by hyper board? Also ask him if he can perform a component level repair instead of swapping the whole board.Swapping the board will cost you 200$ more than the usual charge(I would say he is planning to charge you about 400-500$). Ask him for the quote.

Well the info in the directory is filled by the techs themselves. You are gonna have to contact a few of them and see if anyone of them is willing to do a component level repair.

We used to have ratings for techs before. Like users review the techs after the repair. Don't know why it was removed. I am gonna suggest our community manager to have the R&D guys to include that feature again. That will save the customers a lot of trouble.

My sanyo vpc-s670r digital camera has a blurred shot. how can i fix this problem? i also clean the lens still blurred especially when shotting outdoor.

You must take pictures gently. Blur picture may occur if you move during capturing a picture. Or your hand move too fast after taking a picture. Try to stay still for two or three second after push the capture button.
Blur picture when shooting outdoor can be caused by too much light. Don't forget to set your camera in outdoor or panorama mode, and turn of the flash light if you think its too bright.

Hope this help and RATE please !

Assistance in using the P for taking pictures How do you use the dials to determine a good picture.

The settings depend on what you're trying to say with the picture. You probably wouldn't want the same settings for a portrait as you would for a landscape. Two photographers at the same place and time with identical cameras probably wouldn't use the same settings, as each photographer has his/her personal style.
In the Program mode the camera select the shutter speed and aperture it deems optimal. You can turn the command dial to adjust the exposure, increasing the shutter speed and opening up the aperture, or decreasing the shutter speed and closing down the aperture by turning it the other way. Either way, the exposure itself remains the same.
If you're taking a landscape picture, you'd probably want a small aperture to get the maximum depth of field. If you're taking a portrait, you'd probably want a large aperture to blur the background. If you're taking an action picture, you'd probably want a fast shutter speed to capture the action. Of course, those are just guidelines. Sometimes you want to blur the action, or throw some portion of the picture out of focus. It's up to you. You use the settings to take YOUR picture.

Picture on Samsung lcd LNT5271F is blurred sometimes lines color distortion double images then goes away and will come back. Part of the screen will go completely lines then come back. Starting to happen...

Had this exact problem diagnosed by a local repair shop as a bad LCD panel. According to the technician there's a loose ribbon cable on the panel and it would cost as much to replace/repair as a new TV.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

the next time it is not working go into the customer menu with remote and call up the convergence grid and look---there---if convergence is way off and or comes and goes---this set uses 2 Stk-392-570 ic's and it is quite common to see them become intermittant.

Blur on LCD and on pictures taken

Sorry to tell you this but your CCD is gone. In a fwe days time pics will be black in color. CP 5400 uses a batch of defective Sony CCD's. Nikon's service center in Kolkata, India replaced the CCD in my CP 5400 free of cost. This was because Nikon has issued a service advisory. Try your luck with the Nikon service center closest to your home!

Blurred background

In general, a digicam like the fz15 uses such small lenses (true focal length, not 35mm equivalent) and sensors that they have greater depth of field than a DSLR will have. The only way to really reduce it is to use f/2.8 and full zoom. Also it's reduced the closer the subject is to the lens.
