Question about Ovens

Open Question

Hello - I have an Alpha 80 range cooker (no longer in production) that has been dismantled and re-assembled, but we cant work out how to re-pack the insulation (fireboard/mineral wool) without blocking the flue. Is there such thing as a blueprint/diagram/photos of how to do this? We have spent an awful lot of money and time on this cooked and would be grateful to get it sorted, once and for all! Thank you.

SOURCE: Creda Solar Plus Model 48339N Clock/Timer not working

You have to remove the complete top assy as one unit. To do this you need to remove the side panels, there are screws at the rear, and some at the front of the oven, you will then be able to see the screws securing the top
The top then slides towards the rear, then you can gain access to the timer unit.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have a whirlpool gas range model number

Your oven sensor should read around 1100 ohms at room temperature. If it is out of spec the oven temps will be all over the place. Here is your oven service manual: DSI Range tech service manual

Bush AE66DCA cooker main oven wont come on

Hi guess you would have got your cooker fixed or replaced by now but I thought I would comment as we have had the same problem.

First I checked the bulb inside the cooker to see if there was a fault but the bulb was intact, I then checked the cooker over visually inspecting suspect broken parts I noticed the Thermosat control (3rd in from left hand side) wasn't turning properly so I ordered a new one. Couple days later it arrives and I remove the old switch and replace (very simple task) once the cooker is apart I get it all back together and it still doesn't work. So I grab my multi tester and perform a continuity test on the elements which proved to be normal range (43ohms was the reading). I was stumped. I began checking the whole cooker wiring and checking everywhere for a fault. After some time I notice a abnormality inside the main cooker control (2nd from the left hand side). Under closer inspection I realise one of the brass pins and spring has dislodged and no longer giving an electical connection. After ordering a new switch I stripped the old one and replace the pin and spring and rebuilt for a temporary fix. Rebuild the cooker and hey presto it works. Couple days later new switch arrives so I changed them over. Touch wood nothing else goes wrong but there's not much to them once they are apart.

Hope this helps others with their problem.

Need instruction manual

First off if you are renting, the landlord is responsible for the appliance he owns. Call him for the solution. If the Range is yours, the power connection may not be complete or switched on at the electric panel.

How to dismantle a ckg 21504 built in cooker and grill unit and turning gas and electricity off

I have the installation and servicing documents for this item.

I would be interested in the f.s.d./solenoid assembly if you are getting rid of it.

I am not an engineer but if I can assist you with photocopies of the book I will, but I don't think this will help much.

And if anybody else reading this can help me obtain a FFD part no. C00154538 I would be very grateful.

Pleace HELP!!! How do I set the clock on my Russell Hobbs RHM1712 microwave?

Hello,

You can set the timer on a range slow cooker to automatically switch to a warming setting when you estimate foods will finish cooking. The programmable features allow you to leave food stewing at home while you are out of the house, freeing up your day.

Set the timer on a range slow cooker to let the kitchen appliance do all the work, and come home to a fully cooked meal.

Fill the insert of the range slow cooker with food and cover it with the lid. At least a quarter of the insert should be filled with liquid to keep the environment moist during long cooking times.

Press the "On/Off" button on the left side of the electronic control panel in the front of the appliance. This will turn on the slow cooker to the low heat "Warm" setting.

Press the "Cook Time" button on the right side of the electronic control panel to add hours to the timer which will show a total time in hours with a red digital display. Continue to press the button until the display indicates the desired cook time in one-hour increments up to 10 hours.
The cooker will automatically adjust the temperature setting based on the amount of time you programmed on the timer. Cooking times of six hours or less automatically start on "High" heat and times of seven hours or more will start on "Low" heat.
A small indicator light will come on below the word to tell you the cooking temperature.

thank and thanks for using fixya.

I have a zanussi built in oven model no zbf 860b which the fan is still working but the oven is no longer heating up?? Thanks

Hello,
If the red light is coming on when you turn on the oven control then the thermostat is ok.You will need to remove the grids from inside the oven then remove the inside rear panel 4 screws, be carreful not to damage the thermostat as you remove the panel. When you have removed panel you will see the ring element, now remove the 3 screws holding in the element and gently pull it towards you, remove the 2 cables off element but do not let them fall into the back of cooker or you will have to remove the cooker and gain access to the rear of the cooker.Once you have element check with a multi-meter for continuity and replace if blown. Relacement is a reverse of removal.

Hope this helps.

Cant set cooker clock so cant use oven as a result

You will probably have to replace the cooker clock. Do any of the other parts work? This fortunately is not that expensive and you were blessed not to have more damage than this.
