Question about Kenmore 79012 / 79014 / 79019 Gas Kitchen Range

1 Answer

Kenmore range range beeped with teh same sound it does when the temperature is acheived. The display stated F13. I pressed stop to make it stop beeping, and the display is now dark, and the oven door is locked. It seems the oven is hot, and if my spouse didn't turn it off after dinner, it would have been on about 2 hours. that has never been a problem before. What should I do?

Found the manual
1) let oven cool
2) unplugged, replugged, reset clock
3) Held stop button for about 3 seconds to reset the oven door lock.

Still not sure what caused it, but seemed to solve the problem.

How do I make it shut up?

You probably have an error conditon. Is anything displayed on the control panel? If it's displaying "PF", that means "Power Failure". Press the STOP or CANCEL button, then set the time. That should stop the beeping (if it's displaying PF). if any other error code is displaying, I would need to know your range model number, and the code that was being displayed.

I have a Frigidaire Elements stove. When I went to preheat the oven I got a constant 'beep' and a code, F13 ERR. Please help Thank-you Anxious in Indy

Hi akadiki,

This error code F13 description is a bad Clock ERC. The steps below will help you determine whether the ERC or touchpad is defective.

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.

2. Gain access inside the control panel.

3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.

4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.

5. Turn the power back on.

6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the F13 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound).

7. If F13 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Range started beeping and display "F10" code.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Error code F10 is displayed due to electronic oven control failure and the only way to solve this problem is by replacing the control board which is bad. Sorry for the bad news but hope you understand... Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My oven was set to self clean. It got extremely hot and the it began beeping and flashing F1. I turned the circuit off, because I wasn't sure if it meant "Fire". So is it ok to turn the circuit...

Frigidaire's slide-in ovens feature an electronic oven controller, which serves to monitor and diagnose most electrical problems within the oven. If any of the oven's electrical systems fail, the controller will prevent the oven from functioning and will display a flashing "F" code on the oven's digital display and produce a beeping sound. To stop the beeping and clear the display, press the "STOP/CLEAR" button on the oven's control panel. Many times, the problem can be remedied by simply resetting the oven's controls. First, turn all of the oven's control knobs to the "Off" position, then allow the oven to cool to room temperature. If, after turning the oven on again, the "F" code still displays on the digital display, contact Frigidaire, as the wiring is likely to be defective.
