Active directory doimain not available

are you on a domain? did you get this computer used w/all the settings still set to the business who sold it? if so you can sign in as local administrator as long as they didn't put a password on it. if they did you'll have to remove the password and unlock the administrator acount

Dell latitude e5500 will not boot even f8

Sounds like your laptop can't find an OS (operating system software) to load from. The OS is on your hard disk drive. Now you have to determine if the OS is corrupt or your hard drive is bad. Here is a link from Dell for your model:
To run a quick diagnostic, hold down the <FN> key next to the space bar while powering on the laptop. If your hard drive is bad you should get a "self test DST failed".

3 Answers Please help me with bios password for my dell latitude E5500 Service tag: HHGMF4J-2A7B Please help... Thank you in advance

The BIOS-password exists for _your_ protection; if a thief is in possession of your computer, the password prevents the thief from using the stolen computer.

As the owner of the computer, find the original sales-receipt, to prove ownership, and telephone Dell, to get assistance from Dell to bypass that password.

My dell latitude e5500 laptop is password protected and need the new password

If it is the BIOs password, read about how to reset it here:

If it is in Windows and you have another account on your laptop that has administrator rights, log in into that account and change the password for your account. If you have an administrator account (even if you don't try putting in Administrator and leave password field blank) try using that account to reset the password, otherwise try one of the following:

- see this for XP
- or this for Vista/Win7
- or if anything else didn't work you can use thrid party software from Hiren's Boot CD
