Hi:
Make sure you remove the head protector from the new cartridges. Try unplugging the unit from the AC outlet for about 2 mins. Check and install the cartridges and replug the unit back in, tung on power unit should to a recycle and settle.

Run the printer utilities, clean the cartridge nozzle, align the cartridge and deep cleaning of the cartridge until you achieve the right color printout.

Put a new color cartridge in yesterday. First pages printed greens instead of blue. Now only prints pink and red. No other color or even black. I ran a test and it comes out ok.

Try cleaning the print head with something like isopropyl. I had a canon that did the same because the machine was fairly old, had a little use that lead to ink drying on the head and blocking the pransmission of the inks to paper. That may be the issue hopefully. Sometimes compatible cartridges cause problems because they are not correctly chipped.

Whenever I try to print anything w/color, the yellow in the inkjet cartridge does not come out--instead of the color green it comes out blue or instead of the color red it comes out pink. I put in a brand...

Could be the communication between the printer and the computer...(operating system or driver) or, it could be the ribbon cable that connects to the print head. or, it could be the connection where the cartridge connects to the printer, may be dirty. Get some long Q-tips and some alcohol and get in there and clean it. (don't clean up any necessary white grease that keeps it lubricated though)

Replaced cartridges

keep cleaning untill it starts to print clearly, you may reuse the same paper for that purpose, if you don't see any progress after 10 cleans, consider getting lasser printers, they are immune to print head drying and save alot of money on ink replacements. go with brother color or black and white series. I switched and don't have problems anymore
