SOURCE: Power Point Presentation Using Sanyo Pro Xtra X Multiverse Projector

You have to ensure that the Laptop is feeding an image through the VGA port. The simplest way to do this is to press your laptop's Fn key and the CRT/LCD key (usually the F8 key) together. Also, you have to ensure that the projector is on the PC analog input mode.

SOURCE: we need to know how to hook the projector up to

You will need a VGA cable that can connect the projector to the laptop. This is usually the same cable that connects a monitor to a desktop computer.

Once you have the two connected, you will have to tell the laptop to send the video signal down the cable. This is normally done by pressing the FN (function) key on the bottom row of the keyboard, and the F8 key on the top. It will normally cycle through the following modes: laptop only (default), external, laptop and external.

Hope this helps and good luck.

I am trying to display a PowerPoint via an sdcard. Music and pictures show up from the card but the power point doesn't.

Bit difficult to answer without even the brand of the projector being mentioned, but the most probable causes are either that there is no provision in the projecotrs firmware to run a Powerpoint show, that you are using a version of poerpoint that is not supported by the particular projector (try saving it in the various different formats availavle in the "Save as" menu) or lastly, there's something wrong with the way your powerpoint presentation has been set up, and the projector is unable to resolve the issue

My dell d630 laptop wont recognize my infocus lp70+ remote control and I can't advance my powerpoint slides with the remote control

Here's what the User's Manual says:

Using the Remote Control

To advance PowerPoint slides with the projector's remote, you

must connect the USB cable on the projector's computer cable to

the computer. See page 8 for more information.

Point the remote control at the projection screen or at the front or

rear of the projector (not at the computer). The range for optimum

operation is about 30 feet. If you point the remote at the

projection screen, the distance to the screen and back to the projector

must be less than or equal to 30 feet. For best results, point

the remote directly at the projector.

If you are displaying presentations in Microsoft® PowerPoint®,

you can use the remote's Previous and Next buttons to navigate

through your presentation while in Slide Show mode.
