When you plug it in to the usb cord charger, and then plug it out, it turns because it maybe does not have enough energy to keep it running to your standard. so, when plugging it into the computer, if charging, leave it plugged in, and too find out the amount of energy left in it, go to start, then my computer, left click on where it says sansa clip 2GB, and click propoerties, and it will state the amount of percent charged, then thats tell s you to keep it in longer

My Sansa Clip won't work. When I turn it on it says: Not enough space for music DB Please free 30 MB. But when i connect it to my computer it doesn't register. PLEASE HELP ME

Because you drag 7 drop songs or files too much into the sansa clip in MSC mode, it causes like that.
Turn it on, it will show " Not enough.....free 30 MB", and then automatically turn off. Plug it into pc, open my computer, it will be under name "Sansa clip..." or "removable disk ". If your pc does not recognize it, unplug again and replug it.
Open Sansa Clip..., or removable disk, and delete some songs.
Good luck

My Sansa Clip died after installing Rockbox!

Maybe installing Rockbox makes your device corruption. If plug the device to pc, the pc still recognize it, update new firmware from sandisk official site, http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/
Good luck

My sansa clip won't charge or turn on

First, plug the device to pc with different usb holes.
If it does not work, try it with another pc.
If it does not work too, try to change usb cable.
If it does not work too, the device has problem with power, change to another one.
Good luck

Some songs or files with extension device can't read, so it takes so long/infinity to refresh. Plug the device to pc, format it.

Hey my sandisk sansa 2gb mp3 player will not charge and it is bran new how do i fix this

1) Try plugging it into a USB port on the BACK panel of your PC, and leave it there for a few hours.

2) Try plugging it into an AC adapter, and leave it there for a few hours.

3) There was a manufacturing problem with many Sansa Clips where the battery leads would detach from the battery. This would result in the Clip not being chargeable, and eventually it would only turn on when connected to a PC (which bypasses the battery). If this is the case with yours, you'll need to return it for a replacement.

My computer does not recognize sanso clip and does not show that it is connected. What to do?

My sister has a Sansa Clip, and sometimes when I try to connect it, my PC doesn't recognize it.

You should try to upgrade to Windows Media Player 11. If that doesn't work, then, try MSC "force" mode. To do this, turn off the Sansa, put it in the hold position and hold down the center button, then plug it in. This will force it into MSC mode. See if that works.

What I did was go to the settings portion > USB mode > MSC. Try that, and then reconnect the Sansa and see if it works. Just go to Start > Computer and see if your Clip is reconginized.

My computer cant open the file in my e250

1. Plug the sansa into your PC. If Windows does not recognize the clip, unplug it, turn it off, and then put the clip in "hold" mode by placing the on/off switch into the hold position. Hold down the middle button on the Clip while you plug the clip back into your PC. It should recognize it.

2. From "My Computer", find the sansa icon and choose format. Note: this will delete all your music files on the device...

3. Download the firmware updater for the sansa
http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376

4. Follow the instructions to update your firmware.
