Thanks. We removed one of the memory card and the server is back online without any error message again. But we didn't swap the card to the other slot so we re sure whether it is CPU/Memory board which is faulty or the memory chip.

Hello,

You are getting a hardware failure notification, which was caused by trying to get the temperature of a processor. The cpu board has a problem.

thats as much as I can translate from the error message.

With all due respect, with a 12K - 20k or how ever much it cost you, you can afford to get a professional repairer or contact sun directly, you are at a user to user helpsite, the cheapest possible support.

It is so extremely unlikely that you would find someone with direct experience with this machine from this website.

Make sure your storage settings have not been altered. A dying battery on the units man board can cause this.

USB ports not working, slow computer

The error you are getting is the USB port driver. I suggest disconnecting ALL of the items you have connected to ALL of the USB ports and rebooting. If the computer reboots normally, go back and install ONE and ONLY one USB device. Restart your machine. If it boots OK, shut down, remove that device and connect another one, restart again. Do this for EACH of the USB devices until you find one that causes the computer to boot slowly and/or generates the error message. That one is the culprit and needs to be repaired before reattaching to your system.

If, however, after removing all of the USB devices initially and rebooting, you still get the error message, then you have a USB driver problem. You will need to remove the USB driver and reinstall from a known good location (like HP's website) to fix the driver problem.

CPU NOT DETECTING ERROR CODE FF

If you are having trouble booting the system and getting a screen try the following multi-step procedure. Power off your system first before completing any of the following tips.
1) Check CMOS clear jumper JP1 (JBAT1 on some systems). Set for CLEAR for 5 seconds, then move back.
2) Check CPU host clock jumpers (if any) are properly set. Note: does not control memory bus.
3) Check your power supply. Should be 110/115v for North America.
4) Unplug all data cables for IDE and FDD from the motherboard.
5) Unplug all power supply cables attaching to your IDE and FDD drives.
6) Remove all cards and devices EXCEPT for video, RAM, CPU, CPU heatsink/FAN.
7) Move memory into a different bank, if available.
8)Unplug the CPU and reattach.
9) Ensure your CPU heatsink/FAN is attached properly to the CPU.
10) If you use a variable RPM fan ensure its set for full speed.
11) Retest.
12) If 1-11 do not help power off and test the motherboard outside the computer case to eliminate a case/motherboard power short.
13) Retest. If the board now works check for case problems. If the system still is not working continue…
14) You may have a possible hardware problem. Any device in the system may be a possible culprit. Use process of elimination to determine the cause. Swap out as many components as possible starting with RAM, CPU, POWER SUPPLY, VIDEO CARD (if present) and/or MOTHERBOARD.

System boot problem

This is possibly a bad hard drive. If you know the manufacturer of your hard drive you can download diagnostic tools from their site, burn to cd and run diagnostics to check the drive for errors or failure.

CMOS checksum bad 0085

the problem might lie in the fact that the mother board and cpu cannot be handled at the speed

or it requires the jumpers to be set by so that the cpu can be clocked properly if you got a mother board spec guide follow the guide for *********** board to set up 3.2

you might also have to set the bios to the cpu speed cause if mother board doesnt do jumpers no more the setting would be in bios
hit the delete key direct are power up this will take you to bios
its not the battery
