What do i do?
The sound card in the computer could be damaged.
The audio drivers might not be properly installed.
First, check for windows updates and install any that indicate they are for your sound card/audio driver. They may be listed under optional updates.
Next, open Device Manager (search it in the start menu) and expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers (see pic). Right click the audio driver (Realtek High Definition Audio in the pic for example) select Uninstall. When the device is gone from the list, select ACTION at the top, then select SCAN FOR HARDWARE CHANGES. Give ti a restart if that didn't work.
