Question about Sanyo DS32830H 32" TV

1 Answer

Won't stay on

The tv had been stored in the bedroom for about one year. Decided to use it and it turned on fine for about 15 minutes. Then it made a loud motorboating noise and shut off. It would not turn on again despite repeated attempts for about 5 minutes. When I tried to turn it on after that time it made the fluttering or motorboating sound and shut off before a picture came up. This happened several times and I quit doing it. Inspection of the boards revealed no obvious problems (cold joints or burns). My thought is a capacitor and/or voltage regulator breaking down. Any suggestions on where to look?

Thanks
Eric

I have a Sanyo 32" DS32830H MFG. May 3 2003. I need to find out what the part number is for the "Item" on Power board: 4B10B09400 in soldier slots: T402H1-11 and T402H13. When I power up the TV that "Item" makes a high pitched noise and then powers off. I probally need to replace it. so I need to find out where to get one and what it is.

It sounds that there is any loose solder terminals at the main board, especially with the vertical scan output section circuit. It will be best to contact any service technician to get it repaired. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

Well it sounds like a coincidence then. Or if it's working on one tv and not another tv then you need to try a new av cable to see if it makes a difference.

Disconnect everything from the TV so no more wires are attached to it like cable or DVD or gaming console. Unplug the TV from the wall for over 2 minutes. Then plug only the TV back into the wall with nothing plugged into it, if the TV does not stay on then you have a defective TV. You might try moving the TV to a different part of the house to a plug on a different circuit/breaker like a bedroom to verify this.

My Mitsubishi Medallion tv stays on for about 10 minutes and then shuts down and won't turn back on until a period of time has passed. It is a rear projection tv about 9 years old. Can anyone help ex

When it shuts off and the green power light goes off, press both the menu and input buttons on the front of the set (not the remote) and hold both for about five seconds and release.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks and then 3 blinks and repeat it several times.

What is the error code?

Sound problem...

I spoke with a local repair person about the problem. He told me this has been an issue with this model since day one. He told me to unplug the TV for 15 minutes and then plug it back in. It should work fine... It did! He said this should work every time and replacing the part doesn't solve the problem.

I hope this helps someone else!

XL-2100U lamp cycles on and off

Hi

I recently had a similar problem after replacing my lamp the set would work for 22 mins then go into standby for 30 sec then come back on, then repeats, I decided to experiment with the lamp housing, I removed the new lamp, unscrewed the top of the lamp that holds the actual bulb then switched out the main housing (bottom part) with the original housing, that seemingly has corrected my problem, you may want to try if the replacement lamp did not come from Sony...good luck

Problem with tv turning off by itself.

I had a friend with the same problem. He had to clean the components and fans in the set. The accumulated dust had caused the set to run hot and a safety switch was the tv off. He purchased a few cans of compressed air and, as he blew the components and fans out, used a vacuum to capture the blown dust. Good luck.

Remote

this is from your producer: Product Description ? BASIC OPERATION OK ? everyone knows what a handheld remote control unit does for your home electronics. You can control your basic four (4) components: TV, DVD player, VHS player, Cable or Satellite tuner. Setup is simple for these basic 4? put in the batteries, look up the manufacturer of your component (Mitsubishi TV) and note the possible 3-digit ?program codes?? turn on the component, press the remote control?s PROGRAM button until the light stays red, press the component button (i.e., TV), enter in the ?program code?, and press the ?power off button? ? if the component (i.e., TV) turns off: you are programmed! If the component (i.e., TV) doesn?t turn off, then repeat the sequence using another of the manufacturer?s program codes until it does. Easy ? took me about 3 minutes to program my old Zenith TV (in the bedroom), my SONY DVD player, and my Mitsubishi S-VHS player. No problems at all. HOWEVER, in case you do run into a component for which the ?program codes? don?t work? you can go through a sequence to self-identify the coding. While I won?t go into it here, it is only slightly more time consuming than the other method. As my codes worked fine, I can not address this aspect, so I won?t make a claim we didn?t test.
