Question about Dell Inspiron 1300 Notebook
Connecting to wireless network, is there an off/on switch to connect to wireless
It doesn't appear that there is a switch on the 1300. If it's telling you that you need to be sure the switch is on, then most likely you have the wrong driver for the wifi card in your machine. Open the small cover on the back of the machine and see which card you have. It should be either a Broadcom (BCM) 1350, 1370, 1470, or an Intell. Then use this link to download the proper driver, look under network. http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INSPIRON1300/B130&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
You will need to uninstall the old driver before installing the new. If this doesn't work then it could be that the card has gone out.
