Question about Casio FX-115ES Scientific Calculator

I have to supply this answer taken directly from the manual for this calculator. The calculator Casio FX300MS does not have a S<>D key so I do not see how a solution calling for an inexistent key caould be implemented. Anyway I will let the screen capture give the answer

Your problem is not with the scientific display, rather it is with decimal representation (approximate) or fraction/radical (exact). representation.

If your results are in fraction/radical form press the [S<>D] key to switch from one to the other.

The calculator is by default in the MATHIO t output mode: results are in fraction/radical form.

If you don't like to work with this mode just change the IO mode to LineIO. To do so, press [SHIFT][Mode](Setup) and selct** 2:LineIO**

hi emily, most scientific calculators have a feature to switch between deg-rad-grad. lookout for a switch DRG or so on the keypad, this feature might also be activated via a "second function" operation. check out your user manual for further in depth help.

Display Format

To change the exponential display format, press the [MODE] key 3 times.

Fixed number of decimal places:

Press 1: Scientific Notation: 0

Press 2: SCI: 0

Press 3: NORM

You will then be prompted for NORM 1 or NORM 2. CHOOSE NORM 1

To return the calculation mode and setup to the initial defaults, press [SHIFT] [CLR] [2]

Calculation mode COMP

Angle unit Deg

Exponential display format Norm 1

Fraction display format a b/c

Decimal point character Dot

For converting answers in decimal to fraction or fraction to decimal there is a S<->D key above delete key.If the answers is in fractional form press this key and it will be converted to decimal form.
