Question about Sentry Fireproof Safe

Open Question

My Sentry S0310 has a dual security Combination and Key entry. Still have the key but lost the combination. How can I overide the combination or get the combination? I have never registered the safe with Sentry which I bought in 2003. Serial number is AG-402095.

They should be able to help. I would try calling first, to avoid paying the $12 to retrieve the combo, but with the serial number of the safe, they SHOULD be able to help you over the tele.

SOURCE: know combination, but cannot open sentry safe 1250

Make sure you are working the dial properly for this type of safe. With the door lever fully counter clockwise, turn the dial clockwise a couple turns to start. It should turn quietly. Then turn the dial counterclockwise (LEFT) to the first number in the combination. Now turn the dial clockwise (RIGHT) a full turn passing the first number again, and additionally clockwise to the second number. Then turn the dial counter clockwise from the second number directly to the third number. Try to open with a sharp movement of the door lever clockwise. If this does not work the first time try adding or subtracting ONE to each number in the combination in case the mechanism is worn. If it still does not work it is time for a drill and a power saw to cut the thing open!

I have lost my sentry safe key or combo

<span>Hi.<br /> <br />Sentry respects strong security standards. There is no simple way of hacking a safe if you loose the combo. If there was a simple way of opening a Sentry safe, Sentry would withdraw the model from the market.<br /> <br />When you own a Sentry safe you are supposed to register the combination in Sentry website. The combination will be held as encrypted data in Sentry server. After registration you get an user name and password that will allow recovering the combination.<br /> <br /></span><span>If you have already <a href="https://www.sentrysafe.com/CustomerCare/Store_Combination">registered</a> and need your combination now, <a href="https://www.sentrysafe.com/CustomerCare/Lost_Your_Combination">you can recover your combination clicking here</a>.</span><br /><span><br />Most owners are not aware and do not register the combination.<br /> <br />If you have not registered the combination, then for security reasons you will be asked to send Sentry request your combination from the Customer Care team. The request must be accompained by a notarized letter stating you are the owner of the safe (form must be downloaded from website). The document can be obtained from any local Notary Public office.<br />You will also be required to pay Sentry $20, that is what Sentry will pay to verify with double check your identity.<br /> <br /></span><span><a href="https://www.sentrysafe.com/CustomerCare/Lost_Your_Combination#">Page is the same published before, at the bottom the button to open Notary public form template.</a></span><br /><span><br />I know that the procedure is annoying, but that is the only way to get a lost combo. What is the factory code for a Sentry SFW205GPC safe?

You must call (800) 828-1438 for combination retreivals.

If you need your combination, you must send a notarized letter stating you are the owner of the safe. (Note: the owner\'s last name must be different from that of the notary public). For locations that require a raised notary seal, use a pencil to shade the seal to insure that it is visible.

The notarized letter needs to include:

  1. Your name, address and phone number.

  2. The model number and serial number from your safe. The serial number is typically found on the front of the door, lower right corner on a small sticker; the right outside wall of your safe; or under the keypad/dial on the front of safe.

  3. Please indicate how you would like to receive your combination. Options include first class mail, e-mail or fax. Your letter must clearly indicate which method you are choosing to receive your combination, as well as the mailing address, e-mail address, or fax number to which it should be sent. Note that failure to indicate the method in which your combination should be returned to you will result in delays to the process.

  4. Special Circumstances

    • In the event you need to open the safe after the owner is deceased, your notarized letter will also need to include that you are now the owner or executor of the estate and need access to the safe. You must also include a copy of the ***** certificate.

    • If you hold Power of Attorney for the safe owner and need to access the safe, your notarized letter will also need to include that you are acting on behalf of the safe owner. You will need to include a complete copy of the Power of Attorney documentation to confirm that you have the authorization to act on their behalf in this type of circumstance.

    • If you also need a key for your safe, you can order them online:

REFERENCE THE ACTUAL KEY LOCK (WHERE THE KEY IS INSERTED) FOR SMALL SAFES AND CHESTS

      For Personal, Home and Home/Office Safes: (Model numbers will begin with: S0 (S0310, S0400, S0407, S0408, S0409, S0410), S3 (S3300, S3310, S3401, S3410, S3417, S3421, S3460, S3467, S3470, S3710, S3807, S3870, S3877, S3910), S4, S5; I0, I3, I4, I5; A3, A4, A5; J3, J4, J5; L0, L3, CS, CSW (CSW3460), DA (DA3831, DA3930), DS (DS3410, DS3431, DSW5781), KSW, MS, MSW, OA (OA3810, OA3821, OA5848), OS (OS0407, OS0410, OS0810, OS3407, OS3421, OS3470), SC, and X (X031, X075, X105, X125)): Indicate your model number and the safe serial number is found on the front right-hand side of the door, between the hinges.

Hi Juli, if you still have the manual, there is a factory code printed on the beginning page and that code can be used if you forgot your code. The factory code can never be deleted. If you dont have your manual anymore then the only other option is to call the company and they might be able to give you the factory code somehow.
