Question about Televison & Video

Comcast TV cable adapter problem: TV has black screen that reads "One Moment Please. Your service has been temporarily interrupted. It should be restored momentarily" and it has been that way for hours. This adapter has been in use for the last year. The green light on the adapter is on (but seems to be blinking). The other comcast TV adapter in another room is working fine

You can call COMCAST to have them do the reset for you or you can call the comcast automate setup on the phone, just make sure to have the serieal numbers and the MAC address. I had to do on my a couple times in about every 3 months, you can also have bad box also.
I guess you already try another box to this same cable outlet?

What To Do If Comcast Connection IS Out?

If your cable or Internet isn't working, there are a few simple fixes you can try.
Check the Power and Connections for Your Devices If there are no reported outages, see if a few quick checks uncover the problem:
  • Make sure the plugs for the devices haven't come loose, the outlets are working, and a fuse hasn't blown.
  • Check that all the cable connections are secure.
  • If your TV is hooked up to a TV box, VCR, or DVD player, confirm the TV is on the right channel.
  • Confirm that your account is up to date on payments. Late payments can cause an interruption of service.
Restart Your Devices You can troubleshoot specific service problems for the following services:
Get Some Information If you need to contact us, it will be helpful for us to have some information about your outage:
  • If you have a TV box, make sure the channel number is lit in the channel window. If you have a digital TV box and there is a "0" in the channel window, it means the box is not able to receive information.
  • If you have other TVs, check if the problem is with one TV or all of them. If the cable is not working on all your TVs, the problem is probably outside of your home.
  • Check with your neighbors to find out if they are having a problem or if only your cable is out.

I have not had any programs through Comcast in Kokomo on my T V since the wee hours in the morn. 3-12-17 Just says " one moment please this channel should be available shortly Ref code S0a00

Suggest disconnect power from cable box. Wait 10 minutes. Connect power allowing cable box to reboot,

If not successful contact cable service provider. The cable service may have a problem.

Hope this helps?

Comcast cable has stated that i need a cable box unless i have a tv with a QAM tuner. Does my Emerson LF391EM4 flat screen TV have a QAM tuner?

Depends on where you get your service. Where I liveon East Coast of US, ya got to have a Comcast box (DTA Digital Transit Adapter) or better) PERIOD. Currently, there are no TV sold in my area that can beat the Comcast system. It may be different where you live.

Comcast Cable Down All Day Every Day

Here's some things to check:
If there are signal splitters on your cable for TV, computer, more than one tv, the signal is getting divided ...every splitter will weaken the signal.
Check for unneeded splitters, also there are splitters that have a wider frequency capability.
Consider upgrading to 2hgz splitters if needed.
Also I think that the more homes that are on the cable tend to make the signal weaker...I don't comcast would fess up to this, but I'm pretty sure it's true.
Make sure all your cable connections are snug and you may want to double check for corrosion etc. on each connection.
I resorted to a signal amplifier on my home. We've got comcast for cable tv and internet, with multiple tv's and multiple computers.
The amplifier (motorola) boosted the signal for everything and we've got way less dropped, frozen pix, black screens and the internet is back up to speed.
Comcast even came out and put a signal strength meter on the in-line to the house and stated it's within their limits... Glad I put the amp on the line..
Give it a try.

Westinghouse Green Screen

You can also try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works..
