Will not let me enter my state.

After a trip out of state, my garmin will not let me enter my state. it goes right to match not found after one letter

    I took our Garmin to Hawaii and it worked fine. Once we returned to the mainland it will not allow me to enter a state. After entering one letter it says no match found. Tried the reset button with no success. Any other ideas?

I just posted the same problem then played with the unit and determined that you need to go back to the main page which lists Where to?, VFiew map, and Travel kit. In the upper right is a wrench. Click on the wrench then select locale and then select change all and go through the entire process. Once you select the correct time zone the unit works.

Have you tried the reset button?(It has a label over it) it may be be locked up software, and requires a "reboot".

Reset did not work. Still cannot enter state. When I hit spell state the gps responds no matches found. When I hit back - the alphabet appears but as soon as i hit a letter the GPS responds no matches...
The problem may be because the text language is British English. To be able to enter a state it must be in American English. To change to American English follow the instructions below;
  1. On the 'Main Menu' press the 'Settings' icon.
  2. Select the 'Locale' icon.
  3. Change the 'Text Language' to 'American English'.
  4. The unit will now allow 'States' to be entered.

No matches found on garmin 350
Click on the wrench symbol, then the map icon and then "map info". Make sure your map is checked. If it's not, then your map is off. When its off you wont find anything.

download the map for your state and or region gaemin is the only gps that requies you to do this. tom tom is a better product and dosent require downloads

Won't allow me to set destinations
Hold a finger on the upper right corner of the screen while powering up the unit. This should do a master reset.
