91 dodge dynasty some one tried to steal it they broke the ingnishen my question can I change out the ingnition we out removing the air bag &steering wheel? I have access to all screws & pin locks signed...

yes you can, 1991 Dodge Dynasty Ignition Switch

Things You'll Need

  • Screwdriver
  • Tamper-proof Torx driver
  • Ignition key
    • 1 Remove the plastic cover from the steering column. The cover is two pieces held together by screws that thread through the bottom piece of plastic into the top piece. Remove the screws and pull the cover off. This exposes the large square ignition switch. The key cylinder connects to the ignition switch.
    • 2 Remove the tamper-proof Torx screws that secure the ignition to the steering column using a tamper-proof Torx driver. You can get this type of Torx driver from your local auto part store.
    • 3 Pull the wiring harness out of the ignition switch.
    • 4 Place the ignition key into the cylinder and turn it onto the auxiliary position. Push the metal pin on the ignition switch in using a screwdriver and slide the ignition cylinder half way out of the ignition switch. Turn the key to the off position and slide the cylinder all the way out of the ignition switch.
    • 5 Place the key into the new cylinder, slide the cylinder into the ignition switch half way. Turn the key to the auxiliary position and slide the cylinder in the rest of the way. Remove the key from the cylinder.
    • 6 Press the wiring harness onto the ignition switch.
    • 7 Secure the switch to the steering column using the tamper-proof Torx driver.
    • 8 Place the covers back onto the steering column and secure them using the screwdriver.

Some VCR covers have tamper proof screws. You would thus need to find a special screwdriver that will fit the head of the screw. Search Amazon for tamper proof screwdrivers. Make certain it has the correct head to remove the screws.

How do you open lionel transformer cw-80?

On the base of the transformer you will find 4 tamper proof screws that you will need to remove to open the case. A triangular blade screwdriver will be need to do this. Once removed the tamper proof screws can be replaced with self tapping screws.

How to set tps on a 2001 gsxr 1

Step 1: Remove front seat
Step 2: Locate Dealer Mode connector, it resides just behind the battery, it is a white connector with a rubber cover on it, it has 5 or 6 wires going into it.
Step 3: Put bike in dealer mode, take a paper clip or a wire with two stripped ends and connect the two pins

To ensure the bike is in dealer mode, look at the gauges and the temperature should be replaced with "C00" and a little "-" next to the code, the "-" is what you will be observing while adjusting the throttle position sensor. There are three positions of the "-" (top, middle, bottom)

Step 4: Remove the right side fairing
Step 5: Locate the tamper proof torx screw

it's behind the cable bundle you see running along the top of the triangular hole in the frame

You can get the torx head screwdrivers needed for this screw at any auto parts store, just ask them where to find the tamper proof torx screwdrivers. I couldn't find my torx head driver, so I'm unsure of the proper size needed.

Step 6: VERY Slightly loosen the torx screw (the black plastic piece behind the torx screw is your TPS)
Step 7: Reach into the frame and grip the TPS and begin observing the "-" on the gauges. Adjust until the "-" JUST hits the top position. Find the point that it juggles back and forth between middle and top then move it up just far enough that it doesn't juggle anymore. VERY carefully tighten the screw, if you're not careful the TPS will move while you're tightening the screw.

Step 8: Remove paperclip or wire from dealer mode switch, and replace the rubber cap

Step 9: Re-assemble bike and ENJOY

On my babyliss type S47b, special screwdriver???

The screw may be triangular, or Torx (star pattern), or even 'pin-in-Torx', which all require special tools. They do it to prevent people from opening them up. But you can buy the tools, and for triangular screws I ground an old screwdriver down to match the shape!

Those screws are called 'Tamper Proof' or 'Tamper Resistant'. If you google those you'll find tool sets that will open dang near anything.

The heating coil isn't working. I am trying to get the screws out but they have triangular shaped indentations in the screws. Where do I get a screw driver bit to fit them?

the screws are tamper proof screws because it isn't meant to be user friendly. however if you have an old philips screwdriver and a dremel tool you can make a driver for those screws.

it is probably a "tamper-proof' Torx head screw and you will need to get a set of tamper-proof Torx bits. Be certain the tamper-proof Torx bit will fit into a bit holder shaft ssmall enough in diameter to fit into any recessed holes that the screws are currently in.
