i have lhd4033d rca tv dvd combo. was having sensor problems with my remote. bought a new one. still not working. took front screen off to find out that I had two wires broken. now the problem is solved. tv works fine.
try these steps
On occasion, an RCA television may need to have certain options reset in order to restore default settings. Software resets, such as resetting the Picture Control, the Parental Control lock and the Wake-Up Timer, can easily be restored to the default settings by accessing the settings menu via the remote control. A Hard Reset is recommended if there are hardware problems with the TV, such as a loss of picture or if the TV isn't turning on properly. if that doesn't work try these steps
Unplug the TV's power cord from the electrical outlet.
Wait 5 minutes.
Plug the TV's electrical cord back into the electrical outlet. If this does not resolve the problem contact RCA Customer Support or a local technician store
This is a very common problem with these models.
The problem is a fuse that has blown, if the following is true:
No Video on any input BUT HDMI and
No Audio at all.
Purchase a fuse, these are freaking tiny from digitalkey.com or mouser.com F1455ct-nd
Pull the back off of your unit Pull the cover off of the PCB housing. It is the box that contains the hook ups including the cable tuner. The silver box that you screw the cable to is where you begin to look for this fuse. About two inches behind this silver box is some numbers printed on the board 7c32 and partially obscured will be 1c33 Using a big magnifier look next to the numbers listed above, you should see a tiny rectangle fuse with an F on it. This F fuse is a 500ma fuse that is too small for the load The fuse listed above will have a G on it. It is a 750ma fuse. Call the repair shops in your area, tell them that you know the problem, have the part and you want to know how much the bench time and labor will be to repair your unit.
Hi Thanks for using FixYa. Generally, if the TV turns on but
there is no picture, then you need to check the main control board, LCD Control
Board or power supply which might be faulty. If the TV is still under warranty,
this will cost you nothing. However, if it’s not under warranty the cost will
likely be quite high. Also please tell me the model number of your Unit so that
I can provide you with model specific information.
