Yes, the aerator (where the water comes out) can be unscrewed and removed from the faucet. I remove these and clean them out on a regular basis. If the aerator won't unscrew by hand, place a washcloth over the aerator (to prevent scratching) and carefully turn it with a pair of pliers. (Screw direction to loosen: Looking down on faucet, with pliers to the right-hand side, pull them toward you.) Make sure the rubber washer is properly placed in the top of the aerator after you have cleaned it out and you go to screw it back on. You normally don't need pliers to put it back on, as these are meant to be screwed on hand-tight. There might be several little parts inside the aerator to take apart and clean out, so be very careful to put these parts back together the same way they came apart. I find a toothpick is often useful to clean these out, as well as a cup of water to rinse them in.

I looked online to solve this same problem and found this. Thank you. A pair of tweezers proved to be the perfect tool for loosening up and twisting off the aerator. Lots of junk built up behind the aerator which had blocked the flow. Works great now, after cleaning it all out. Thanks again!

Kevin's solution works. Thanks! Just cleaned out the aerator on my faucet with this same model #. I found using a pair of tweezers to gently loosen and twist off the aerator worked well. Twist off in a counter-clockwise direction. Lots of junk built up. After cleaning it all out it works like new.

How to clean the screen filter in the kitchen faucet

I don't know your exact model but most faucets screen filter can be screwed off for cleaning or replacement. Remove the screen filter with a pair of pliers and a rag. Once you get it loose, you should be able to unscrew with your fingers. Put the rag around filter before putting the pliers on it to prevent gouges and deep scratches in the chrome. IF you have a dishwasher, you can clean the screen filter on top basket of dishwasher if you have one. IF the screen filter looks bad to you, just replace it. Go to any hardware store ,take the screen filter with you and get help finding the right one. Once you have a replacement, hand screw it back on as tight as you can. IF it still leaks , use the rag and pliers to tighten it just enough to stop the leak in the screw parts. Good luck.

No water comes out

If it's a kitchen or lav faucet, unscrew the aerator and clean or replace it. A kitchen faucet could have the diverter jammed with debris. Look on line to see how to remove the handle and spout to clean it. If it's a shower valve, just replace cartridge.

Low pressure from faucet, how can i remove screens

I had the same problem. To fix it you remove handle and pull cartridge out and clean the water port out. To remove handle it take a #10 star driver. Also on the hose connection ( white plastic) it will unscrew from the hose as well a sun lip from the upper section. There is a screen in there you'll have to clean out.

Screen on faucet needs to be cleaned - how?

On most kitchen faucets (and many bathroom sink faucets as well) the aerator screen is removed by unscrewing the small cylinder. The cylinder is about the size of a stack of about 4 medium sized coins. Just use your hand, since pliers would scratch it. You might need to use a piece of rubber to get a better grip like you would use to open a stubborn jar. Be careful as you remove it, as there are several small pieces that you will want to replace in the same sequence. good luck. Al K

Since we fixed our dish washer, the water prssure in the kitchen faucet is very low. A friend told me to clean the filter. where is the filter, and what do I need to open in order to get to it?

filter screen is usually just under where the water comes out. Cover drain so any parts do not get lost down drain. Just unscrew it counter-clockwise to loosen it up. Remove screen and clean by flashing water in bathroom sink until screen holes are clear. then re-install and tighten in clock-wise direction. All done after you check that water comes out again.

Faucet is running slow

I think that there is a screen in the inlet side of the spray head, the hose just unscrews and you can rinse the screen out with the water coming from the hose

Remove water saver device from Blanco Grace kitchen faucet

Remove the aerator at the end of the spout. It will unscrew and once off it will have a dime sized restricter in it that can be removed this restrict's the water down to about 1.6 gpm to save water.
It will either be plastic or metal and about the size of a dime with a small holw in it to let water pass by maybe 1/8" hole just remove it and put aerator back together.

Clean aerator screen out before you put it back together.

http://www.plumbersurplus.com/pdf/07163.pdf This link has a breakdown of parts. Look at parts 8b-10 for aerator breakdown.

Kitchen faucet low water volume

On the tip of the faucet there is a screen on it, remove the screen by unscrewing the it counter clockwise use a pair of pliers with a rag on it to keep from scratch the faucet end then if you have a large volume of water you will have to clean the screen out by flushing it out backwards and using a tooth pick to get out any particles yo can get out of the screen. there is the possibility that the faucet control handle is defective to but would do the screen test first.

Sudden drop in pressure in kitchen faucet

If it only the kitchen faucet, then the screen inside is clogged. Remove the filter by unscrewing the part where the water exits the faucet. Pay attention to how the pieces come out so as to replace in same order. there will be small debris that has to be removed then just replace in same order it came out.

Unable to loosen and unscrew kitchen faucet screen...

If you have a lime problem, try soaking the tip in boiling water with vineger added to it. The acetic acid in the vineger disolves the lime. I did it just last week when I serviced my kitchen faucet. It may take quite a while for the lime to disolve, but in the end you will achieve your goal.
