Question about Fuji FinePix S5000 Digital Camera

No Power Recharged batteries night before. Test Camera for batterie power, everything was working. Next day I went to use camera, and it is totally dead! I even went and bought brand new DBL A batteries to see if camera would boot, and it don't. I tested both boughten batteries and rechargable batteries with a tester, both type of batteries have plenty of power.

Yes, memory card in camera. I even switched memory cards to make sure it wasn't the memory card. Additionally memory card only loads one way, so I don't have memory card in wrong.

This camera is a power hog,,,,It sounds as though your batteries are low or one of them may be defective,,,Put some fresh heavy duty alkaline batteries in it and try again...If you have rechargable batteries in it then they may need to be removed and recharged and or upgraded to heavier batteries...I installed 10,000 milliamp/hr batteries and bought a solar panel for mine...It took 74 pictures on Hi resolution last night...
You will have to reset the day and time after removing the batteries...

NIKON D70 Camera not working after battery change

You may just have two bad batteries, or maybe your charger is bad.

You should have a DC power adapter with the camera, plug that in and see if the camera works longer with it.

You should also have an adapter to use CR02 batteries with the camera. You can buy three of the CR02 batteries at the drugstore (they are NOT rechargeable) and see if the camera works.

If any of these things work, you have bad batterie.

If they don't work, then there is likely some kind of short in the camera and you will need to send it to a service `center or your local camera shop. You might also just take it there and see if they have a known good D70 battery they could try for you.

on rechargeable batteries, check the mAh on the side, you would need to be about 2300 or more. also the shelf life on some rechargeables may be less than desireable... try lithium digital

Battery fully charged but cannot use camera. Applied new batteries works in review mode only Fuji Fine Piix F420

My camera had a similar problem. It would work only in review mode and as soon as photo/film mode was selected it went dead. What I did was 'discharge' the battery totally and then fully recharged it. This can be done by going to Menu-Option-Setup-Discharge. After I had done this the camera stopped going dead but the battery still had a very poor lifespan. I bought a new battery and now the camera works as new. Hope this helps-Steve.

My Lumix TZ1 stopped working

Simple solution. I recharged the camera battery and the camera came back to life. I wasn't expecting it to, because the battery was fully charged when I had connected it to the computer, so I figured the problem was not battery-related. Apparently keeping the camera connected to the computer for such a long time drains all the power in the camera battery.

Powers up and then shuts off

This should work for the A520. With NEW or freshly recharged batteries, remove the camera's memory card, then turn on the camera. You'll probably see an E30 error. Next turn off the camera. Next insert the memory card, and turn on the camera.

If the above doesn't work, the following blog outlines some other repair options for a lens error. They won't work for all cases, but they're worth a try if the camera's no longer under warranty:

I can't turn the camera on anymore

I dont have a definite solution, but I would;

- clean the power contacts on the battery and the camera with a moist Q-tip

- leave the battery out for a day or so, maybe more if you have time. Make sure the battery is charged again (maybe just put it on for an hour or so) and re-try.

Battery problem

It probably lacked the power to retract the lens. I'd start with recharging the battery and see if that corrects the problem.
