Why can't I engage fifth gear in 96 kawasaki vulcan 800

IS it noisy all the time or just when trying to get 5th gear? Hopefully just when trying to engage fifth gear. It is likely a bent shift fork. If noisy all the time a keeper on one of the shafts may have failed allowing gears to go where they aren't supposed to or a bearing has let go. Either way you will need to open up the tranny and investigate.

P3005 jams

Post the exact error message indicated on the printer LCD. 13.01, 02 paper feed issues, worn rollers or jammed paper inside of paper feed assembly.13.05, 06 fusing assembly issues, broken sensor flag in fuser or worn busing on fusing rollers (fusing assembly will be noisy or making grinding sound.) If this the issue being noisy, the fusing assembly has to be replaced along with one of the drive gears, about a 30 min. of work.

HP 4240n 13,05 error - Not noisy, paper has image on it but will not enter the fuder. The fuser was tried in a different printer and worked fine. I do not think the swing plate gears are engaging. Is this...

If the swing plate gears were bad you and everyone in the room would hear it. When you print check the exit rollers, at the top of the printer. Make sure that they are turning. Maybe the fuser drive gears arn't working. I don't suppose the printer is under warranty, no that's too easy!

The noise coming from the printer is an indication that there is a hardware issue. It would be best to call Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance.

Weird problem - printer works fine but noisy; sounds like gears are slipping. Afraid that it won't last much longer.

Noise is not good. The gears are plastic so they are self lubricating and quiet.

Open it up and check for any obstructions or excess dirt. That may be causeing the gears to bind a bit.

Unforuntetly the gears will eventually break if they are binding and making noise. At that point you should just replace the printer (if not before) as it will not be cost effective to fix it.

Hp 4250 laserjet is noisy and has numerous jams. page count is 137,619 maint kit has 39% left when searching event # 13.05.00 Fuser output paper late jam

Probebly the swing gear assy, this assy is driving the fuser, is defective. This is a common problem with these machines. Replacing the gear assy should solve your problem.

Noisy 4L

Did this occur suddenly or over a period of time it got worse?

Did it happen after a jam or other activity like replacing the drum?
